Let’s start off by saying my Photoshop skills blow and just try to roll with me on them. Moving on,
As spartans continuously train and hone their skills aboard the Infinity I believe there should be more depth in the progression of players allowing for a better sense of accomplishment and a stronger desire to try different things.
Having 3 module slots each paired with a compatible section of the spartan:
As modules are a welcome addition to multiplayer, there were just too many to only pick two. Some modules were just simply better than others and would always get selected. By having three module slots each affecting a section of the spartan(Head/Torso/Legs), it would add more balance and strategy when creating your loadouts. The head module would house your sensory modules like radar and ordinances. Torso would house modules like dexterity and AA Efficiency. Legs would be affected by modules like Ammo, Explosive, and Resupply.
Tiers:
Each module would have 3 levels to them and would enhance the effect the more you use that particular module.
An few examples not necessarily accurate,
Sensor
Tier I - Range increased by 5 meters
Tier II - Range increased by 10 meters
Tier III - Range increased by 15 meters
Dexterity
Tier I - Faster Reloads
Tier II - Faster Weapon Swaps
Tier III - Faster Weapon Pick ups
Ammo
Tier I - Increase starting ammo by 25% and spare ammo capacity by 50%
Tier II - Increase starting ammo by 50% and spare ammo capacity by 75%
Tier III - Start with maximum amount of ammo and capacity increased 100%.
With each module having 3 tiers, I believe War Games would have another reason to keep people coming back for more and a feeling of accomplishment. It also plays into the sense that these spartans are getting better through their training.
Weapon Skin Blowout:
Adding weapon skins is another welcome addition but unfortunately there weren’t that many and some were just pre-orders. I believe 343 should just go crazy with the weapon skins and patterns. You should be able to pick a pattern and then the colors of your pattern just like you could with your emblems. I mean why not?
Weapon skins can be a good reward for completing commendations, as xp is just kinda boring. They can also add a sense a bragging rights just like some of the armor can only be unlocked by completing certain commendations.
What do you think about some of these ideas?
What would you change or add to this?
Do you have any ideas or features you would like to share? A new perk or customization idea?

Three perk slots.
The ability to progress your perks.
Why does this sound familiar?
I’ll focus on weapon skins so I don’t go into a blind rage. I believe you should choose your weapon skin in your loadouts, and when you are spawned with that weapon or you pick it up off the map, the weapon should automatically change to that skin.
This would allow skins to be utilized in forced-loadout and classic gametypes.

Because it’s from the biggest selling video game franchise to date. But I was actually referring to Crysis though and how it has tiers. Times change and people want more, need something to keep going for, and have that feeling of accomplishment. Once you hit level 130 and have unlocked everything not much is left to motivate you to keep playing except maybe the empty commendations.
> I like RPGs, but Halo isn’t an RPG…
>
> The last thing it needs are more AA/SU/TP/whatever slots, or AAs/SUs/TPs that level up, or any of that. It’s enough already with the way it is now.
>
> I do however dig weapon skins, just wish they stood out a little more…
This has nothing to do with RPGs, leveling up is not exclusive to RPGs. People need to realize Halo is moving forward and there is going to be more AA’s, spartan upgrades, and who knows what else in Halo 5. Sorry but it’s never going back to the Halo 2 days.

Man first, WTF are these answers, it almost burned my eyes, so shall i begin to dispell your illusion?
First - COD is the leader of selling because two factors, it’s not exclusive and COD is the best Manipulator on the Media, i will agree they’ve done good games in the past like COD 1 to COD 4 they were great but the rest are a waste of Money.
Second - We don’t want Crysis we want Halo.
Third - We don’t need these levelling up things, the motivation on Halo was and is CSR 50 and try to maintain this level 'till you die.
Fourth - Levelling up it is not just for the RPGs they are for most of the game except an ARENA game.
Fifth - Halo is not making progress but it will make progress because the MLG community is helping 343I, they gonna do an ARENA game just like the other Halos were.

First - I’m not a a big COD fan and just because COD isn’t exclusive doesn’t mean it would sell less than Halo if it was exclusive. If it was people would buy a xbox just to play COD as they would Halo. And your conspiracy theory holds no value.
Second - Didn’t say anyone did. Just inspired by it’s features. Halo has taken inspiration from many games.(Firefight from Gears of wars Horde) Loadouts from well you know)
Third - Don’t think you speak for everyone, not everyone is competitive. Some people like Halo on a casual level.

First - My “conspiration” theory holds value, see MW3 and it’s just not the MW3, most of COD have mass of patches which means that they’ve done something worng and you alredy know about Treyarch kicking out their employees because they’ve done false promises
Second - Firefigth was not na idea form GoW, it was from a mission of the Halo CE the developers themselves told that, and guess which implementation was the CHAOS maker on Halo 4 Loadouts
Third - I can’t say for everyone but it how Halo was meant to be, i can’t do nothing for non-competitive players
Fourth - You don’t know what is na ARENA game, go seacrh that and then come back
Fifth - Fourth

alot of game developers have made false promises so no need to single out Treyarch. It’s just an unfortunate turn of events in developing a game, some things just don’t work out.
ODST came out a year after GOW2 did and of course they’re going to say they came up with it all by themselves. I’m sure many will agree that Firefight and Horde are just too similar(odd coincidence).
You are not really in a position to say how halo was meant to be, but you are entitled to your opinion on what Halo could be. Which is why I thought I’d share my opinions with anyone who would take the time to listen. So if your not going to contribute to the thread please refrain from further posts.
