i for 1 liked what was done in halo 2, switching between 2 different characters for story reasons… now the arbitor… may not have been the favourite buddy to swap storys with HOWEVER!
lets say master chief is in stasis for 100 years or so, man kind would have rebuilt, and with the forerunner installation on earth PLUS having elites as friends would have offered the UNSC ready access to convanent technology!
they would have no doubt restarted the spartan projects!
LOVED the custom character portion of the REACH campaign. and would like to see that return!
THAT being said! you play as master chief… then when you switch you switch back to a new gen spartan (your custom character) male or female, with some lines of dialoge. the more they can fit in the better
the UNSC could be waging war against the reminance of the convanent with the aid of the elites, as well as searching for flood infestations to burn out. alot more epic shots of battle and fleet action! MORE spartans!
when the character switch happens you switch between the master chief and your spartan! eventually “i hope” the chief will make it back to earth and the UNSC and kick some -Yoink-. (Pardon my english :P)
alternatively the character switch could also be with a fore runner survivor! we’ll say. since the heros of halo are all men, that it will be a female survivor, AND we ALL know the story hints that forerunners are human. 343 can come up with a story line way for her to plausably survive the firing of halo.
