Halo ce: Ship do a random jump to avoid covenant attack on reach. Covenant follow. Find Halo ring. Fight. MC destroy the ring.
Halo 2: MC defend earth from attack, follow covenant to a second ring. Ring is put on stand by. Covenant split up and Arbiter allies with human.
Halo 3: MC defend earth again. Follow covenant to lesser Ark. Destroy the ark. Propshet are dead.
ODST: Side story during attack in halo 2. Explain the first capture of an engineer.
ReACH: Side story before the attack on reach. Explain how cortana got on the ship with MC.
Halo 4: Left is space, MC gets on Requiem, meet the Storm covenant (a side faction) and the Didact. Fight. Didacts plan to compose human fail.
Spartan ops season 1: Spartan 4 continue to fight the Storm and the remaining forunner on requiem and find a mini-composer/forrunner ai.
Halo wars: Side story on a colony and shield world that doesnt fits in the rest of the timeline.

halo ce: fleeing from reach with cortana (most advance ai) pillard of autum random jump to a halo ring. covenant follow. MC think its just a weapon so tey secure the cartographer to find tge ignition key. the index. MC take it while cocenant release the flood. When about to activate, cirtana interrup and explain the true purpose. chief then have no choice but to blow up pillard of autum engine to ddestroy the ring. Chief, Cortana. 343 GS and jonhson are the only know survivor human side.
Halo 2: Back on earth chief defand earth from a random attack. (they didnt know it was earth) the prphet leading the party find another halo location and jump to it. mc and In Amber Clad ship follo. chief kill the first prophet. flood getting control a covenant ship get there too.the great schism happen. elite are demoted and brute take the place as honor guard. brute put the ring on stand by but is not fired vecause of miranda and arbiter (in amber clad commander and eliteleaser). they learbed tge existance of the lesser ark. chief is left onboard a covenant/forunner ship and covenant loose theircapital to the flood.
halo 3: chief arrive on earth with the covenant armada. theydestroy a part of africa to find a burried portal. they find it and folliw it to the ark. arbiter, chief and miranda folliw. they fiund out the ark purpose to build new rings. one of them being constructing at that moment. the civenant capital high charity crash on the ark and the flood create a gracemind. siding rogether the chuef. the arbiter. and the flood kill the last prophet but the flood turn against them. so MC activate the ring thta blow voth the ring and the ark. chief is left in space.and arbiter make a peace treaty.
ODST: this side story follow a team of odst that are lunch in battle in new mombosa during the covenant invasion. feom protecting key point to saving the first human control engineer the idst learn the fate of their mate.
halo 4: chief ship happen to ve near Reqiem. The Storm covenant are already there ( a religious faction of shangeli lead by Jul m’dama) requiem open up to the detection of chief and swallow both the Storm and him. Chidef try to neutralize a relay that block communication but UNSC Infinity is swallowed too. they fight both forunner and Storm too gain terrain adventage. also chief libarated the Didact wich is pissed at human. Infinity go vack home but chief stay to defeat the didact. wich took control of the Storm. didact fly away with chief on board. he find the composer and we learn what it does (transform biological matter into numerical matter ei: take the soul into ai). he then leave for earth with chief on board again. sidact fire the composer on propably rio the janero but chief defeat him and blow the ship. cortana and didact s fate are unkon. chief take some time off.
i dont remember much of halo wars more then what i told you. there is spartan black team (i think) in it and there fate are left unsure.
