Want the Classic Halo feel?

This can be achieved by increasing the bloom on the DMR to reduce getting blaned across the map from a player hiding behind a rock. We can get back to the in your face shooting and meleeing like all the previous halos. Also, smaller maps. This can also be done with Forge to chop down current maps with walls or soft kill spawns, or just new forge maps all together.

anyway, I think that will fix a lot of the issues.

I’m ready for classic team slayer, what about you?

Vote up so that 343i sees this.

Indeed. Even in Reach, there was never a time that I didn’t know where I was getting shot from by a DMR.

Now… it’s absolutely terrible.

I do like the “how they killed you” replays after you die. I wish that feature was in BTB.

Also, would love BTB objectives.

Why is everyones “solution” to the “overpowered” DMR (Designated Marksmens Rifle) to make it less accurate? Kinda defeats the purpose of the gun champs. You rose tinted goggle wearers will eventually get over your BR stint, or at the very least, learn how to excel with the BR.

The original DMR was never designed for across the map kills, though. That’s what the Sniper Rifle is for. Mid-map, I could understand. That happened in Reach, but if it went too far, the bloom just made it impossible to kill someone from across the map.

That is not the case in Halo 4.

I think that the real problem is that you do not get knocked out of scope when shot, that allows you to cross map with ease with the DMR/sniper

Or instead of increasing the bloom we just slow the rate of fire.

> Or instead of increasing the bloom we just slow the rate of fire.

Precisely. The majority hates bloom. Why increase it again?

Either the DMR should get a RoF nerf, or the BR should get a RoF buff. Carbine should get a slight damage boost(1 less shot to kill). Then all 4 precision weapons would be balanced near-perfectly.

The DMR does seem more easier too use. Its accuracy and fire rate seemed more “beefed” than in Reach.

I thought there was something different.

One little peeve I had with the DMR. DMR was in Reach (a prequel), Wasn’t in CE, 2, and 3…Why is it in 4 and abundantly at that? lol. But forreal, that’s just splitting atoms for the sake of splitting them.

Classic Playlist.

Want the Classic Halo feel? Let me show you a Tutorial of how to achieve it.

Step One: Get out the Halo 4 disk
Step Two: Get whatever you think its a “Halo Feel Game”
Step Three: Don’t come Back.

PS: Halo 4 feels like Halo to me…

This is needed badly, there needs to be a reason to move about the map for weapons/positioning, I really hate people camping spawn and cross mapping with the DMR because there is no reason not to.

All the DMR needs is a slight rate of fire decrease and a slight aim assist range nerf. That would solve all this hubbub about the DMR.

Nah. Bloom doesn’t belong on anything else but automatic weapons, IMO. Besides, long range is what the DMR should be good for, but it shouldn’t beat a BR at closer ranges (that’s assuming both players have the same amount of skill).

What the DMR does need is a slight reduction in firing rate. That should rebalance things.

Bloom slows your rate of fire. Hence “pace your shots to become a more deadly soldier.” quote from Bungie.

yes this is my biggest issue with halo 4 theres no team slayer and no infinity slayer and pro dont count.i want my halo back fu 343 this is why i went back to reach.Another thing that these forums have been blowing up over this and 343 has done nothing to let us know they hear are crys for help. This would never have happend with bungie.when there was a majore issue like this they got back to us rite away

No bloom. Just reduce the rof on the dmr.

I didn’t stop reading right here, but I regarded your entire opinion as folly from this point on. Why ANYONE would want more bloom is beyond me.
