I’m sick and tired of these random toxic people who cannot play the damn game without cheating using damn wall hacks and aimbots! 343 you need to do something about this quick! Cause it is ruining your game fast and clearly damn cosmetics are way more important than this major issue.
Can always do something about it if you want to help solve the problem:
https://support.halowaypoint.com/hc/en-us/articles/4403866308884-How-to-report-a-player
But I’m pretty confident most “cheaters” are just misidentified situations or excuses. Videos of cheats in action always get players whipped up in a frenzy, but the truth of it is a lot of it is merely psychological or misinterpreted.
Played against tons of teams/players that “toggled” according to my own team, when we just sucked/they were better. Only ran into a single player in 70 hours that was ultra sus.
I can only imagine how many of my own good games and plays had people saying the same thing about me. Hell, few times where I was thinking “I’m totally gonna get reported for that”.
Have tons of video proof and literally can never move whenever I spawn so it is definitely cheating.
First and foremost, follow the link I posted above and follow the steps to report suspected cheaters.
There’s no way to address with cheaters without the means to do so, and that lies with the players who encounter them.
Couple ways to interpret this.
-
If you literally (as you stated) are locked out of your ability to move, then this is a new hack that needs to be brought to 343’s attention. That or your controller/input of choice needs to be swapped out for something functional.
-
Are you playing SWAT? If there’s one thing this game mode exposes it’s bad spawns and the resulting spawn sight lines. In normal game modes, these bad spawns and sight lines are less of an issue due to the TTK being higher than 0.1 seconds and shots able to be avoided by moving in a direction outside of line-of-sight. In SWAT positions can be taken up that give players potentially unfair advantages if the spawns are understood, paired with instant kill head shots and this is going to be an incredibly frustrating experience for anyone unfortunate enough to find themselves in it. This looks like cheating/exploitation but it’s just understanding the spawn points and situations that enable them, and has been in Halo titles to various degrees since the mode was introduced in Halo 2.
-
If this is occurring figuratively in core modes with core rule sets, then you need to move. Optimal TTK’s even when being spawn locked allow you to move to cover in some capacity. From there you and/or your team need to break the lock by moving to a new space and forcing a enemy player to move from theirs. The only way you’ll stop being spawn locked is if you break the spawn lock by force.

Most likely a glitch
The problem is it’s too hard to report people. I run across a cheater probably 1/4 games. I have never on once actually reported. It’s to much work. If they don’t address aimbots/hackers soon, I’m probably going to stop playing. It’s NOT FUN playing against aimbots/hackers. I have better luck playing Ranked, because I’m only in Plat… and I assume most aimbots/hackers are Diamond+
It could be far easier, but it’s not “hard” as much as it’s tedious.
The other problem is identifying cheats. How do you know these players are wall hacking and aimbotting? What are your tells? I’m certain both you and Kilopirate have two differing ways of identifying suspected cheaters (much like the rest of the community) and that is a bit of an issue, it means there’s no definitive consensus.
Which is why the report function must be utilized.
When someone gets 2 kills with a pistol without a reload.
When someone gets a perfect Commando kill at long rang.
When someone is shooting at you before you even appear around the corner.
It doesn’t help that theater mode is a buggy mess and makes everyone look like a cheater
I’ve gotta turn myself in.
It’s definitely impossible to get 2 unreloaded kills with the Sidekick without hacks. It’s also completely impossible to time shots with the Commando properly to achieve a single Commando kill at long range. Yet I’ve done all of this, I must be cheating.
Buddy no lol. These are entirely doable no matter what console or inputs you play on.
This kinda ties into my point of “everyone has different criteria that they judge suspicious behavior upon.” I don’t think Pit_Stains’s deductive methods in these cases are universally used, maybe some people incorrectly think this, but it sounds like testing for witches to me.
Pre-firing actually is potentially suspicious. Depending on range and frequency it occurs at it could be a major tell.
However pre-firing can also be chalked up to:
- radar detection
- footsteps or other sounds alerting the enemy player
- being seen by another enemy teammate and relayed to the team
- latency/desync
Regardless, you should report suspicious behavior if you find it suspicious.
I guarantee most of what people assume is cheating is just legit the desync part mentioned above, because it’s really really bad in this game.
Just remember that it’s going to happen to everyone that plays, not just you. We’re all in this dumpster fire together
I have had that issue. It’s just an unfortunate glitch as far as I know.
today i saw one guy using wallhack and aimbot, he know where are you all the time and hit only headshot 343 need a good anticheat. that destroy the gameplay
and thats the one of the reasons why i stopped playing rank match.
It’s cheaters. How else can someone jump out at you as soon as u turn the corner or throw gernandes where your at as soon as you spwn. And it’s usually done by one person but multiple times in one match. And why in free for all the match is sweaty but there’s sometimes where that one person has 25 kills while everyone else has 10 and it’s only been 5 min in the match or less while people camp also.
I think I’m done with halo seems 343 possible didn’t put a anti cheat on purpose so it can attract new players so they can cheat and have forums where people would say “we are jus making a big fuss out of it they ain’t cheating”. Bullsht. If they ain’t cheating then they better than penguin or trippy cuz I’ve played with them multiple times in halo 5 and their awareness is really good but not as good as some of these other assholes who use cheats. Funny too cuz mid way thru the match or towards the end all of a sudden they suck. Mmm they must turn off the cheat so 343 won’t catch them
So u have never seen a simbit or wallhacks I mean it’s all over YouTube and they have websites so people pay for it which is stupid if u do. 343 is probably behind the websites too
Not always man, in most cases it’s misunderstanding the situation. We’ve all been called a cheater at some point in some of our best points and most lucky points. Cheaters absolutely exist, but not in ways that you think (and your inferences show this).
- Camping
- Hearing Footsteps
- Being called out/pinged by enemy teammates
- Radar
- Pure Coincidence
To name a few obvious reasons
- Lucky Throws
- Spawn Locking/Understanding Spawns
- Being really perceptive on spawn timers, as it’s borderline impossible (even with hacks) to know when or where a specific player will spawn even with a comprehensive understanding of spawn layouts
I’m going to say that if it was one or two times, it was pure luck. If it was more, then I would love to see evidence of this claim.
With these two circumstances, or rather the latter specifically, either way if you have some sort of evidence I’d love to see it and discuss it with you.
And better yet, if you do have video proof of suspected cheaters, you can always turn it into the support team here:
https://support.halowaypoint.com/hc/en-us/articles/4403866308884
Guilty, also not a hacker lol. To reference my very first point, I call these “Hacker Matches”. It’s when you just outperform in a way that you can’t even believe, and most likely get called a hacker or cheater in some capacity.
Sometimes you just get lucky with the situations. Some FFA’s I’ve gone absolutely beast mode, some FFA’s I’m limper than a sad wilted piece of lettuce.
Cheaters have very specific tells, and even the sneakiest of such let them slip at least once or twice within a match. In fact I bookmarked a specific comment that a player here posted that had undeniable proof of wallhacking by tracking a player through a wall after playing off not being able to see them which I’ll link below:
Aside from keeping the Gamertag/player name visible, which isn’t recommended/advised against for use on the forums due to ‘witch hunting’ etiquette (and can be blurred out relatively simply), this is exactly how players should back up claims of coming across cheating, and should also be reported through 343’s support page.
-
First and foremost, the comment you replied to in no way implies I have never seen a cheater nor does it deny the existence of cheaters. Dunno where you pulled this assumption out of.
-
I have seen the widely circulated videos of cheaters within Halo Infinite, and as with most cases it simply gets overhyped and blown far out of proportion as to extent of cheating within titles. Cheating is merely shown to exist, but that doesn’t mean it’s rampant or that the claims of running into cheaters “every other match” (paraphrased from the many topics I’ve seen on this subject) are verifiable. Video proof of anecdotal claims is the best way to lend credence and legitimacy to personal claims of cheaters and cheater rampancy, words alone aren’t enough.
-
Cheaters use exploits for a plethora of reasons: to gain notoriety, cheese the experience, troll and ruin other players’ experiences, test the exploits for vulnerabilities, or just because they want to. None of these reasons make it right of course, but as long as there’s ways to exploit a competitive experience there will be reasons for people to cheat and make money by cheating. This is the case in literally every single competitive experience, and isn’t just related to video games.
-
343 is not behind the websites/exploits, there’s no reason for them to be and there’s no basis to suggest they are.
So when players are tracking people through walls and headshotting as soon as they are exposed, it’s just psychological?
This is an incredibly specific inference to draw, could you quote me where I suggested this?
Considering this has to do with an earlier comment, I have further elaborated upon what I meant in other comments within this topic. One of which (which is 1 comment above your own reply actually) coincidentally has precisely to do with your exact inference. I personally jump into replies without reading a ton of responses so I don’t fault you over not reading the follow ups.
But I think you misunderstood or are over simplifying/generalizing my point.
They use closed communities to work together.
There are videos on youtube showing how to tune the programs to make it not obvious they are cheating.
This game needs a disable crossplay option
And an ingame reporting option.
And not in a year.
