Don’t forget infinite is the start to their 10 year plan for halo and with it being this terrible expect some garbage Halos to be made (hoping other than Halo wars 3) in the future that’ll be fixed years later.
Took them 4 years to fix mcc. It came out in 2014 and they fixed the mp in 2018 when they added reach and introduced crossplay with pc. Halo 5 came out in 2015 it took them 2 years to fix it with its mess for everything and even then I didn’t bother to return.
I’ve uninstalled infinite I don’t care about that game anymore its terrible, its a sweat fest they cater more for esports of the game than they do for everything else. Its nothing like a modern day Halo 3 its literally another Halo 5 and they had said they weren’t going to make the same mistakes as they did with Halo 5.
Its missing core features that they plan on adding months later. 343 is devolving halo than evolving it.
Bungie had co-op campaign in CE and they managed to add mp at the last minute even though it was only local and they had co-op in Halo 2 and that game had so much stuff cut from it and it was being held together by gum, duct tape and toothpicks. They had a big cheating problem and were able to learn from it.
What does 343 do? Make the mp free to play with no anticheat and no in game report you have to go out of your way to go onto the halo support website and file a ticket to report someone for possibly cheating. Have they not seen the issues that Respawn (apex), Activision (COD Warzone) and many other games and companies (THEIR COMPETITION) had to deal with making their game free to play?
Clearly they haven’t seen that they had to deal with cheaters and their solution was to make an anticheat software (although it did come a lot later). Those companies literally went through a lot of trial and error to find the solution, they basically did all the work for 343 to avoid the same mistakes.
But at least with Activision and Respawn they were smart to add an ingame report button.
So much wasted money on Halo merch and stuff just for it to be garbage I wish I was able to go back in time and tell my past self to not buy it and tell him its going to be a big flop.
Someone told me that Halo infinite is rewarding and I honestly want to know where that is true? Because I lost 1 match and I deranked from 99% of D3 to the 99% of D2.
Literally lost 1 match and got deranked by so much and I’ve won ranked matches on obj where I’ve got negative kd by 18 - 20 but with a positive kda and the most obj timeand flag caps out of everyone in the game and I also derank. I’ve had a lot of games where I’ve won and had positive KD and KDA with no OBJ time and still deranked.
1 recent match I lost and went positive on both KD and KDA and this person on the other team who went 11 - 27 increased in rank. That pissed me off. Ik I’m capable of onyx but this rank system is garbage and has major flaws.
Thank god for steam charts to show infinite’s current player base bc that had 100k ppl at the start of November and in December it dropped by more than half. At least with that it gives me an estimate population of console players because 343 loves hiding the numbers.
Its amazing Bungie showed population numbers in their games they never had to hide it.
Its very sad that at one point I wanted to be a game Dev and work at 343 because of Halo but seeing how its turned out and the path its been going and will go to. I’ll still become a game Dev but not work at 343.
