A lot of people dislike Halo 5 not having a social aspect and not so much the content that is being provided to us. At the moment a lot of us are trying to like halo 5 despite what we have been given. However, unless 343 listens to the feedback and implements updates for it, a lot of us wont be satisfied.
Can we actually do something as a community to make this really notable and aware to 343i and say “Hey, we want better, what you are providing us is S***. Listen to our feedback and not your egos” Personally, I think it is great so far. Micro transactions are the only thing i dislike about halo 5 as well as the reduction in customisation. As long as these things can be fixed or improved It’s an okay game, however, halo’s legacy is no just a simple ‘ok’. The halos before 4 were outstanding, amazing and are some of the best games I’ve played. 343i took it upon themselves to continue this legacy and have provided us with a standard game. The things i think would vastly improve the experience would be older elements from other halos such as:
Infection: This would allow a more casual gameplay as well as the use of forge to increase greatly. This was the peak of all halos; Best seen in halo 3. (Everyone; if not, most or A LOT want this) - Unlockable armour: I really like that you can unlock armour through req’s as it an achievement of progression and dedication though time in the game but what i hate more than liking that, is that is the only way to get armour. What happened to completing legendary and receiving armour? Or collecting all skulls to get hybusa? - Social aspect: This game feels very detached from socialising and a communal aspect which most competitive games forget. We need more of it!I believe this to be the voice of most and not just my own opinion.(I also think the vehicle sensitivity is ridiculously high. A slight tweak would be nice) - SOCIAL ASPECT.
No major disagreements with what you said, and yes 343 does check these forums. But, so far it seems like most of what they are doing are only halfway to what is being requested by the community. We wanted BTB and more content…so they give us BTB, with a whole 4 maps (lack of content)…
Some of the complaints they have also just told us to shove it on as well, like the Warzone bosses…
Imhave no no confidence that 343 can sensibly address the criticism and they cannot make everyone happy. So, I am committed to enjoying what content they have provided.
They’re looking into social playlists, and Infection will probably be coming as a weekend playlist at least. They might even be doing the same thing they did with BTB and getting Forgers in to make maps specifically for it.
I feel with the update it’s been one step forward, two steps back. A whole Fallout 3 game’s worth of data in just a single update worth 6.2GBs. All that’s introduced are some unusable, poorly modified forge canvases, a big team battle playlist (which is simply a modified Slayer varient) that is senselessly placed under the Ranked Arena and a bunch of things to spend your REQs on because gee whillickers do people love to spend, spend, spend! There are no fixes made towards known issues and no efforts to go abouts informing anyone of anything regarding said issues or information on future updates.

While this might be true. 343 needs to deliver highly visible, clear, and precise dialogue. The amount of posts where players attempt to calm other players ab whether or not particular things will ever be added to the game by saying, “I’m sure it will be added in soon. blah blah blah”, only creates more confusion in the end. I realize their intentions (and yours here) are good, but the result is far from desirable.
343 needs to nip this in the bud and release their plans for the next 6 months to year. They need to keep their customers on the same page they are on themselves. Otherwise, expectations will continue to be terribly skewed, and the result isn’t what anybody (especially 343) wants.
I got sent a survey this morning from Xbox live about Halo 5 and asking what was best to improve Halo 5.I answered all the questions the best I could and gave honest answers to try and improve the game.
So they are listening and sure all info is past on to 343.

Nobody has said that in this thread. You’re the only one. This thread’s intent is clearly stated as an attempt to communicate with 343 ourselves. Yet you brought the White House’s talking points in here anyway.
I just honestly think they could be doing a lot more and a-s-sert themselves a bit more. Don’t get me wrong I am grateful so far, but please 343, we need more social and casual. Even if there is a server where people can walk around on infinity or something idk the purpose in it, but you could make one. The socialising feels really detached compared to how it was.

I find this really hilarious. Why don’t we have halo both social and competitive. Why not both without compromising either of them? The Halo 5 competative is ace right now, 8/10, well done 343. All we need now is the social side that halo 3 had and it would be a perfect halo.

The update contained the majority of stuff needed in the Forge Update in December. It most likely added the maps and the majority if not all the forge assets.

Kinda has a point. Also, I know this is a shooter game, but just having the same sorts of game modes is very repetitive. No matter what game mode im in I feel im doing the same thing over and over and halo was not like this. Infection or rocket race?
