Apex 73.3k
Warzone 66.6k
Elden ring 326.4K
Fortnight 109.9k
And Halo Infinite 1k
I am not celebrating this I am gutted that 343 have let the opportunity to have a long term successful game slip through their fingers because of pure greed.
Wake up 343….,…or is it already to late ???
I have a reputable source claiming that there were over 98k viewers on twitch though??? And he said all of them were playing the game at the same time!
Infinite was at #12 on Xbox most played earlier tonight so it has dropped out of the top ten but that isn’t to bad… MCC sits way down at like #46 but I have been getting games in pretty good times while playing 4v4…not much luck in H2A FFA though.
Twitch viewership is quite possibly the most disassociatively myopic metric that anyone can use to gauge interest or popularity of a title.
I say this acknowledging that Infinite’s not in a good spot by Steam numbers, trending Microsoft positional standings, or content creation media. You don’t need viewership numbers that fluctuate wildly at the mere mention of free loot or competitive events to make a case.
Twitch numbers vary wildly based on games, content, expansion release windows, loot drops, tournaments, creator personality, even update days.
Here’s a grab from about a month ago showing how inconsistent numbers are without context as to why.
A brother of mine, who used to hop on the Xbox just to play Halo thought so too once upon a time. Now, I have to beg him to play some Halo or coax him with some new event with free armor, but even that is not enough.
Halo’s views are low on twitch because the slow, methodical approach is just not something that twitch viewers enjoy. They want to see fast-paced, energetic action, and that’s just not what the strategical Halo franchise provides.
