Wake me, When you need me

I’ve just gone back and played some older halo games and the soundtracks are so amazing. My favorites are from Halo 3 and Halo 3 ODST. They are so beautiful, wake me when you need me is fantastic, the sound of the rain and saxophone from ODST is beautiful I now even listen to the soundtracks casually.
I would really love to hear some original soundtracks in Halo 6, I would actually get emotional.
What are all your favorite soundtracks?

pretty much any of the sad music, especially when it’s played on a piano, depending on what kind of a mood I’m in, can get me a bit teary eyed.

But if there’s one song that always gets to me is the moment that the piano kicks in in “Finish the Fight”. Ah, sooo good.
There’s a lot of good music in the series, but since I’m relatively new to being a Halo fan I don’t know the names for a lot of the songs, so the best thing I can do is describe the scenes and hope everyone knows what I’m talking about.
But in Halo 4, at the very end when you’re trying to stop the Didact and Cortana is splitting herself there’s a song that kicks in that makes me finally feel both like a Super Soldier that can save the universe, and that I’m also running out of time to save that universe.

Then there’s the moment where Cortana says goodbye and dies. Besides being a sad scene by itself, the music really adds a lot to it. “Welcome home, John.”

And then finally the song that plays behind the Didact’s speech at the end of 4. Even though we won in Halo 4 it felt like we had just stepped into a bigger destiny that we were never prepared for. Both a good ending for a story, and a good beginning for a saga.

I love the sound sound track of osdt, i listen to it all the time. I like to play the soundtracks from older halo games while i play halo 5 or halo wars 2. But even without a halo game on screen, many of the songs from past halo games sounds good listening to casually.

I think if you had to sum up the sound of odst in one track it would be Deference for darkness. Or maybe, the menagerie.

In all the ups and downs of Halo I can honestly say that the one thing that has never failed me is the music. Even when it should have failed me, when the baton was handed off to people who weren’t Marty, even then it didn’t fail me.
