I’ve been noticing that I have a common question I ask when joining up on friends who are already in game. That question is either: “What is the score” or “How much time is left”.
I can’t imagine it would be too hard to add the score and/or the “time remaining in the match” counter to the same screen that tells you the playlist/fireteam/search prefs… Thoughts?

I think it was Reach - or maybe H3? - where if you looked at your friends xbl profile it would tell you what game they were playing, what game mode, what map, and gave you a time stamp as well. At least I’m think it was xbox live, and not the game itself, but either way: if they could do it then, why can’t they do it now?

I remember that you used to be able to look at people’s service record by looking at their Gamercard. I just really don’t know why you can’t do that now…
Instead of progressing, this game seems to be regressing.

I always try to remember that every single feature, no matter how seemingly trivial, has a price tag attached to it. When the team sits down to start development on a new title they have a list of must-have features, a list of probably-ought-to-have features, and a list of wouldn’t-it-be-nice features. My guess it that they run right down the first list, then chisel away at the second, and finally, if time and money allow, they might get to some of the stuff on the third. Or they might not. Ultimately they would respond by saying that party chat does away with the need for them to provide you with any information on your friend’s whereabouts because you can get it straight from your friend’s mouth once you’ve partied up. That said, it was still a really nice feature when we had it.

I agree that maybe this would be categorized under “luxury-addons”. As far as party chat goes, there are multiple times where have just joined on someone in my friends list and I have no idea if I need to wait 30 seconds for their game to end or 15 minutes… and if they don’t have a mic/dont do party chat, then its almost impossible to avoid waiting.

Friends without mics… we used to call those “enemies” in my day.
