When Microsoft said that they were going to give away H3 for free I deleted my disks hard drive version of the game. My original H3 disc has cracks in it and I am awaiting the new re-release of the epic Halo 3. Its hard to get a BTB match going with party’s and I can’t wait to use the chopper again all day long. Please don’t wait until november to release this do it on october 1st.
I hope along with the free download they have a sale on the DLC because it would be nice to play those maps too more in the rotation. Heck I hope they have a sale on Halo wars too.
It’s a safe assumption to make. While AC II was free, they cut 25% off the price for brotherhood and revelations. So, there may be price cut for DLC.
Or you could probaly pick up odst with the complete halo multiplayer for less than buying the dlc seperatly would cost you. If you are lucky you might even find a used version for even less.

i bought odst new on amazon with all its dlc for 10 bucks plus shipping.
Halo 3 is being released for free on October 16th. But it has been stated that it is only the standard version, meaning no DLC will be included.
