Does anyone know when the Tac/M1 Combat Knife came out been waiting for it to come for a while now trying to make my reach spartan
The Tac / Model 52 knife and combat knife was released in season 1, and they are now locked, donât know a way of getting them.
Likely whenever they manage the REQ system and release War Zone, all items from previous seasons will be available for unlock by getting REQ Packs.
Is that true we are getting a req pack system
It is merely my prediction.
REQ system was better and more consumer friendly than the copy-cat Fortnite shop we have right now.
Profits rolled in more.
And all the items have rarity levels, which is odd because that means nothing as the items are purposely put into the shop on a rotation basis manually and not at random.
So my prediction is that REQ Packs will make a return and every REQ Pack you get will guarantee you possibly three cosmetic items of varying rarity.
That or we will get a variety of packs such as this -
-
ARMOR REQUISITIONS
Provides items to customize your Spartanâs Armor -
GARAGE REQUISITIONS
Provides items to customize the vehicles of the game -
GUNSMITH REQUISITIONS
Provides items to customize the weapons of the game -
PERSONALITY REQUISITIONS
Provides emblems, name-cards, player stances, A.I. Colors, & A.I.s -
EVENT REQUISIONS
Active during events and provides items from said Event
If itâs your prediction I recommend phrasing it that way. I did a double take wondering had I missed a big news announcement like that.
Personally I doubt this would ever happen. The micro transaction FOMO genie has been unbottled, there is no going back from this. They would piss every cat ear spartan by releasing all items as grind to earn. Im sure their revenue would take a noticeable dive given that all the hard core/long term fans would stop making purchases all together if that were the case.
The best we will get are select items purchasable in the shop with a new secondary free currency similar to fortnite and fall guys. None of them will be particularly cool and they will rotate every week to pressure players into continuous play. Worst case will be maintaining the status quo
It is actually a smart business move to transition to a microtransaction market setup that is more consumer friendly.
Why do you think MCC is getting Microtransactions now? Because most players are put off by the many problems and issues that Infinite has and now the majority population is there; so the market is being moved there.
By solving one of those problems, it will bring people back.
Allow people to grind for REQ packs or spend IRL money on the MTX currency to get REQ Packs just makes sense.
It is a lot more consumer friendly, so it is a method that will bring players back so the ones that spend money will keep spending money rather than get annoyed with a weekly shop item rotation.
Look at it this way.
I spend $100 on the MTX currency.
That is $100 for 343 to have from me.
I get to then spend those Credits on the weekly rotating items.
HOWEVER
Because these items are WEEKLY, I am only spending probably $25 worth of my Credits per week on the cosmetics.
So they just got $100 from me for the month.
REQ Packs on the other hand, you can buy them in bundles and it would be an easy method to get items that are no longer available.
I missed out on Season 1âs Battle Pass?
Those items are now available for purchase through the REQ Pack Raffle that gurantees no duplicate cosmetics.
Those cosmetic bundles that were never released in Season 1?
Now they are available all the time for players to purchase REQ Packs.
Sure they can grind for packs, but we all know that grinding is rigged to still be a frustrating effort.
Just take a look at the Weekly Ultimate Challenge Rewards.
Complete a LONG list of arbitrary tasks like some modern-day Heracles, complete the next bonus challenge, all for ONE SINGLE ITEM !!!
Honestly wish we could just purchase stuff individually in the armor hall.
Like the shop can be featured bundles and whatnot and if you missed something it will be purchasable in the armor hall.
This would be ideal.
That too!
If REQ packs donât make a return, AT LEAST they should rework the shop to be something more akin to R6 Siegeâs shop.
Agreed id even take the req system over this it torture to look at pieces i want to combine and hopeing rng jesus puts it in the shop
Like I can only ask for one piece at a time
Not to mention the shop system has left out a bunch of bundles from Season 1. Even some event bundles were left out because they had to rework the pricing since everyone was SUPER MAD at the $20 Hazop Bundle.
Im still mad i missed the cyber showdown pack really wanted that Will-O-Wisp visor
Especially since cross core will be coming at some point
I feel you.
I work 60 hours a week and missed out on plenty of event cosmetics. I havenât even made it 1/5 of the way through the Entrenched event pass.
Honestly?
Events should just ADD cosmetics to the overall game and have them available as permanent extensions to the Battle Pass.
âAlpha Pack Event is Live, which means 10 Tiers just got added to the Battle Pass. If you miss out on the event, donât worry as those tiers are permanent additions to the Premium Battle Passâ.
If anything it would incentivize the purchases of the PBP since if you are a Free-Play player who doesnât want the Premium Battle Pass, you will only get those items while the event is live UNLESS you buy the PBP and thus are able to permanently unlock those items.
Nobody enjoyed the REQ system, and I would hardly call it consumer friendly. It only beats the Infinite shop by a small margin.
The biggest gripe people had with the REQ system is that it was completely random, plus all the essential Warzone unlocks took forever to unlock. Another reason against it, is that itâs borderline gambling. The whole industry pivoted away from loot boxes toward a shop for a couple reasons.
- The shop is more lucrative if you have the gameplay to back it up.
- You donât have to deal with gambling laws on the horizon. Like EU regulations for sports titles featuring them.
By far one of the biggest complaints about Halo 5 was the REQ system. If they wanted to be consumer friendly they could throw players a bone and allow them to earn credits for free and create a vault for players to purchase items from. The featured stuff could be a special sale, but introducing a new form of micro transaction is the last thing Infinite needs.
I enjoyed it.
Unlike literally every other lootbox at the time, DUPLICATES NEVER HAPPENED.
Sure I was annoyed that War Zone was pay-to-win, but it ensured that cosmetic-wise you were guranteed an item rather than what Call of Duty or Rainbow Six do with âOopsie, you already have that item. We programed it to do this, so since you lost this RNG game even though you only have like 5% of the cosmetics unlocked, we gave you a duplicate. So here is a refund of 1/4 of that specific itemâs cost in the item shop.â
When it came to cosmetic unlocks, you were always guaranteed an item and not just a âwhups, you already have that, so we will spit in your face and tell you to have better luck next time.â
War Zone doesnât need to come back, but if REQ Packs make a comeback and only provide cosmetics; that is fine by me.
Heck, I would be more incentivized to complete challenges to get REQ Packs as well.
I could easily see the Weekly Challenge Ultimate giving you a REQ Pack as well as that âexclusiveâ item.
Exactly.
If I had more than 4 things to choose from I might buy more things.
Maybe the means to permanently unlock the ability to purchase things.
All bundles remain purchase able thru a catalog.
Categorized REQ pack system could make it less of a gamble.
And if you got items that were part of a bundle, that bundle becomes cheaper.
Going back to OPâs question. Feel. Like it was âreleasedâ in season 1 so it could be part of one of the preset armour sets
Wait, are you saying their finally gonna give us a free way to earn cosmetics (just speculating) that previously where locked behind paywalls for free? Not to mention adding war zone??? Iâm on board with that!!!
Just speculation at how far reaching 343âs claims of âall previous Halo content will be eventually updated into Halo Infiniteâ.
Hopefully that means that all previous multiplayer maps, weapons, vehicles, armors, and gamemodes will be eventually updated to Halo Infinite over the course of its supposed 10 year lifespan.
Hopefully this busted method of cosmetics unlocks receives the rework is so desperately needs.
In all seriousness I believe itâs not only the content drought that made halo infinites activity lower but I also think is the cosmetic system in place that also made everyone so upset. Originally everything was free and it was the most customizable. It isnât as of now and I can understand why people are so upset.
