Firstly, you brought up RPGs and MMOs as a point to “prove” that bullet sponges are fun. They are not. There is not a single RPG or MMO that has implemented bullet sponges and has had commercial success and/or good ratings/high playerbases. Nobody likes bullet sponges and your insinuation that RPGs and MMOs are defined by bullet sponges is completely detached from reality.
This might be due to your incompetence and/or complete lack of understanding about these types of games/genres. I explained it to your because good RPGs and MMOs don’t have bullet sponges, only the bad ones do. Just because other games use bullet sponges is not an excuse for Halo 5 to do the same.
Warzone becomes extremely straightforward when you take out the loot box -yoink- because it’s literally an unchanged gamemode that plays exactly the same no matter what map you’re on. Other games do it better and have more variety.
BTB slayer is NOT the only BTB mode, so idk why you bring that up. BTB has tons of maps to its name, tons of game types, tons of changing spawning locations and weapon spawns, and a wide potential for strategy and teamwork. Warzone has none of that. Warzone has you fighting bosses that either just sit there and take shots with no mechanics to speak of, or they instakill you if they see you. That’s not compelling. Neither is playing against players that all spawn with their own version of an instakill weapon, you know, the actual antithesis of what makes Halo fun.
Since you keep trying to say that Warzone had so much going on for the single game mode, invasion had much more going on than warzone ever did. Each map played differently and each base capture lead to an evolution of your respective classes. Warzone had locked content that you simply have to buy or get lucky to use. Warzone plays literally the same on every map. The bosses, again, are never compelling and would be best left out of the game.
I also never gave any indication on how I play warzone. Nice strawman.
You’re also the person who was arguing that Warzone brought tons of content to the game, when in reality it never did. I exposed the truth that the game is extremely watered down and simple once you get rid of all those -yoink- microtransactions. So clearly that’s what you’re stuck on. You loved how you get to use all these loot box items in the game and can’t admit that it’s harmful to the series to have that as a feature.
You’re advocating for it’s existence based on the amount of content it brings to halo. I’m merely explaining that Warzone sucked and adds nothing substantial to the series. That’s what most Halo fans thought or else the game wouldn’t have dropped in population so hard. The lack of a compelling sandbox that lets forge and custom games thrive is what made Halo 5 lose a playerbase. Nothing else.
I fail to see how this is a violation of community guidelines. Maybe reading isn’t your forte.
