Waiting for the day Warzone comes back

I would love to see Warzone return somehow. Though there is a problem, in that the BTB maps aren’t designed around it, so they’d have to make entirely news maps, or somehow revamp the current ones into a playable experience.

I’d also like to see SpOps return. At first, I thought it was going to, because of the whole “telling a story through multiplayer as your Spartan” talk from 343, but it ended up just being the seasonal “cutscenes” that briefly have our Spartan in them.

No thanks, i would put Warzone near the bottom of my priority list of content I would like to see added.

I loved Warzone but I’d want to see improvements to it before it returned. The identical three objective setup on all maps and single spawn locations for bosses meant games became predictable and exploitable by the best teams.

I’d like to see a map with 5-7 objectives, difficult to hold all unless the team is full of pros. That would create more ebb and flow across the battlefield instead of turning into a power race letting one team steamroll the other.

I know many think BR is garbage but the fact the halo one will supposedly have bots is a good start.

means we will have the option of playing a less sweaty version.

I’d want Warzone back, but only if they rethink it. I’d rather it not be a game of whoever has spent the most time/money wins.

What? You couldn’t earn anything in Halo Infinite aside from an extremely small amount of pieces of armor. There’s literally hundreds of sets and 99.5% of them are paid for AND luck based. You can’t earn loot box contents. That’s such an illogical thing to think.

Edit: I genuinely think people believe others can’t see what they react to people’s post with. It’s hilarious seeing a comment with a bait symbol and you can accurately guess who put it there. We all know

It was fun the first 10 times and then I realized it’s the same thing over and over and over and over again. As I said before, there’s nothing fun about shooting some arbitrary boss that won’t die unless it’s shot 1,000 times like some boring watered down destiny boss.

The actual game mode was extremely stale. You get rid of all the “cool” weapons and vehicles and nobody would touch it.

The only variation are the hundreds of items you don’t ever get to use because the game refuses to give you anything good until hundreds of hours of grinding later.

Theres a lot of games that are fun where you shoot a boss a 1000 times. Mobas, RPGs, MMOs…

So nobody would touch it if it just turns into Big team battle…? What are you trying to get at? I believe that’s what makes Warzone, the bigger team battle, with its mass arsenal content. Thats like, literally the marketing for the mode.

You saying we never start a match to play any mode over and over again? THAT, is literally every mode in Halo? You literally rip the contents of Warzone down while forgetting every other Halo gamemode is the same idea. Nevermind all multiplayer games in general.

The only difference of Warzone gamemode provides more content than any other Halo gamemode even without buying anything. This, coming from me who never bought a REQ pack. So you can path and do much more to have fun without actually worrying about winning or losing.

Haha, this is funny.

You don’t hit things “thousands of times in mobas” unless you’re level one and your either fighting a level 20 player or a jungle boss. Maybe in that case, that would be a point.

What RPGs are you talking about?? Destiny? Shooting a boss a thousand times is easily the least compelling part of destiny imo. I can’t really think of a good RPG where the boss or enemy is a bullet sponge. Bullet sponges are usually an indication of a terrible RPG. Most people don’t like that.

MMOs, you’re not just shooting and pushing one button over and over again to kill a powerful boss. You have to use teamwork and hundreds of varying skills across all players for a successful run. And this doesn’t even mention that good MMOs (FF14 and arguably WOW) have TONS of boss mechanics that change how you play mid fight. Halo 5 Warzone didn’t have this.

Don’t act like Halo 5 is any way an acceptable or fun form of “shooting something a thousand times to die”. That’s bad and you failed at making that argument.

BTB has tons of different game modes.

Warzone has one. Of which is literally to capture two bases and shoot their core. Kill the same bosses over and over again while they stand there and instakill everyone around you.

Stop trying to argue that’s fun somehow. Warzone firefight was as close to fun as it ever got because there was only PvE and 343 were forced to make it somewhat varied from game to game, but after roughly the same amount of games, it ended up being the same thing, over and over and over again.

And you’re right, that’s 100% what most gametypes of Halo consist of. Which is why most players back between 3-Reach hardly played anything else other than BTB, custom games, forge, and action sack gametypes. People liked variety and content and when 343 gutted that, the playerbase “somehow” disappeared.

You are the type of person to blame the genre of Halo for why it’s dying without realizing that is an irrelevant aspect of Halo’s identity

I dont knwo why you’re talking about other MMO/RPG games and how they work. But the overall idea is that they fight bullet sponges, no matter how much teamwork or “variety of skills” you talk about. If you meant abilities, then that’s just spamming abilities.

More or less. Capture three command points to destroy the core or score 1000 points to win. Kill enemy targets to increase points. Or just plainly upgrade and grab whatever you want to kill the enemy. You talk like warzone is more straightforward than BTB Slayer?

Maybe because I’m talking about the fact that you can do so much for a single gamemode. I don’t know why you’re bringing up other gamemodes for when Halo 5 literally has the same thing. From what I read, you literally play Warzone like an ape.

I don’t know where you came across this? I only said warzone is a great mode to freely express how you play than any other Halo mode. You must be the type of player where the second someone disagrees with you, you ape and get pissy.

You obviously don’t play the mode and that’s fine. But that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t come back. Im sure there are previous modes in Halo 5 that you don’t like playing but were still in the game anyways. Warzone wasn’t perfect, but it definitely was fun. Thats why in my post, I stated it should come back reworked.

Calm down.

I was talking about loot in Halo 5.

That’s literally what I’m talking. That’s literally what we’ve been talking about since the beginning. Nothing changed.

Firstly, you brought up RPGs and MMOs as a point to “prove” that bullet sponges are fun. They are not. There is not a single RPG or MMO that has implemented bullet sponges and has had commercial success and/or good ratings/high playerbases. Nobody likes bullet sponges and your insinuation that RPGs and MMOs are defined by bullet sponges is completely detached from reality.

This might be due to your incompetence and/or complete lack of understanding about these types of games/genres. I explained it to your because good RPGs and MMOs don’t have bullet sponges, only the bad ones do. Just because other games use bullet sponges is not an excuse for Halo 5 to do the same.

Warzone becomes extremely straightforward when you take out the loot box -yoink- because it’s literally an unchanged gamemode that plays exactly the same no matter what map you’re on. Other games do it better and have more variety.

BTB slayer is NOT the only BTB mode, so idk why you bring that up. BTB has tons of maps to its name, tons of game types, tons of changing spawning locations and weapon spawns, and a wide potential for strategy and teamwork. Warzone has none of that. Warzone has you fighting bosses that either just sit there and take shots with no mechanics to speak of, or they instakill you if they see you. That’s not compelling. Neither is playing against players that all spawn with their own version of an instakill weapon, you know, the actual antithesis of what makes Halo fun.

Since you keep trying to say that Warzone had so much going on for the single game mode, invasion had much more going on than warzone ever did. Each map played differently and each base capture lead to an evolution of your respective classes. Warzone had locked content that you simply have to buy or get lucky to use. Warzone plays literally the same on every map. The bosses, again, are never compelling and would be best left out of the game.

I also never gave any indication on how I play warzone. Nice strawman.

You’re also the person who was arguing that Warzone brought tons of content to the game, when in reality it never did. I exposed the truth that the game is extremely watered down and simple once you get rid of all those -yoink- microtransactions. So clearly that’s what you’re stuck on. You loved how you get to use all these loot box items in the game and can’t admit that it’s harmful to the series to have that as a feature.

You’re advocating for it’s existence based on the amount of content it brings to halo. I’m merely explaining that Warzone sucked and adds nothing substantial to the series. That’s what most Halo fans thought or else the game wouldn’t have dropped in population so hard. The lack of a compelling sandbox that lets forge and custom games thrive is what made Halo 5 lose a playerbase. Nothing else.

I fail to see how this is a violation of community guidelines. Maybe reading isn’t your forte.

Having a spartan company, commendation goals, various unlocks etc…those are things I miss. I didn’t particularly like WZ a lot, becuase I really like small arena maps…but…I did have a lot of fun playing with people in a spartan company back when I was in one, and time to time they’d get me to play WZ or btb, or some crazy social thing of various customs modes, and I’d get them into arena modes. Its just weird how that feature…spartan companies…is just straight up gone. Like why?

I feel like that alone would have gotten lots of players together despite infinite not having a huge playlist suite.

As far as req packs, weapons, etc…man i have idk days, weeks etc of time in arena alone, and probably not even a day worth of hours or maybe only a day on WZ. Ive sold tons and tons and tons of req cards that had probably the best weapon, vehicle, power up etc variants. I never paid for anything. When I did play. I had an enormous abundance of those things at my disposal. People wished i could like gift all that stuff to them lol

It doesn’t really matter, he talks like a redditor. Very pessimistic. Any comment he makes follows up with insults and assumptions for some reason. Can’t argue with arrogance.

Its just better off if he stays flagged.

Thats actually another upside. Warzone was really good for the goals and teaming up with friends. Playing alone is tough but with a fireteam is always fun, especially grinding for the achilles armor

I did the exact same, the REQ system wasn’t what I missed with all its RNG. Just the mode in general, it should be remade somehow to fit with Infinite’s fairness instead of buying everything off the menu.

Yea but then we’d be buying packs that have pre selected items in it I bet dude. Req packs for a free to olay game would be a disaster imo.
