Well some of the “broken” features like the file-share will probably mysteriously start working AFTER they sell DLC. I personally wont be buying anything from them until I see some free content, particularly community maps in matchmaking.

Yeah and the first one was hinted to be released NEXT month, not Nov. 29th. Since they were hinted to be a December release and mysteriously released just now, it feels like a cash grab and I ain’t buying.

Because map designers are the same people who fix all the bugs, custom game options, balance of the game, connection issues and whatsoever.

Seriously, they need to fix file sharing and improve Forge at least a tiny bit before they take more of our money.
It hasn’t even been a month since release!
I got the LE so I think I’ll get the maps with the bundle. I really hope this game doesn’t turn out like Reach. On reach not too many people had the new maps so you hardly ever saw them outside the DLC playlists.

Let’s all be honest with ourselves. The next 3 map packs (9 maps) are already completed and have been way before launch. Nothing has been worked on since august. They were most likely already done by that time.

The game is in desperate need of more maps. So i say no to holding off on releasing the dlc.
This game desperately needs more maps.
There isn’t much you can do about this, but if you want to help this game out, buying their map pack will help. IF nobody bought the pass or the map packs, what is your chance of this game even having anymore focus on. All of these bugs will be fixed in the future so don’t worry too much, just enjoy War games and the new maps coming out. Having more dlc makes the game bigger with more varieties of things to do/play with in the game. You can keep playing with the same 10 maps online, or you can buy 3 more for a total of 13 maps so that your not always playing the same maps

The game went gold in the beginning of Septemeber. They’ve likely been working on SpOps and the new maps since the day the game went gold.
If you’re angry that they’ve “finished the maps” and didn’t put them on the disc just so they could make money to sell them to us, then you’re just looking for things to be angry about. You’re the people that ruin video game communities, contgratulations.
This such bull. Halo 4 releases with only 5 maps for small game types and 5 for big game types. Now they release a dlc that should be essentially a part of the finished game? This game industry make me sick.

Some developers actually do that though. You’re the people (or perhaps ‘Sheep’ is a better word) that allows developers to pull crap like that.
But in this particular case, I don’t think they were done before H4 went gold. There are a lot of… rather unpolished and untested features and aspects of the game that were obviously due to a lack of time to finish everything up. I doubt they’d have time to finish up 9 maps for DLC release in the distant future.

Oh this is rich. Please could you explain how and why the maps should be included with the retail package?

Yes, companies do that. I’m not defending other companies, I’m defending the current one.
The time between the start of a map and us playing it is not long, and considering the game went gold September, it’s concieveble to believe that map designers were working on early versions of the DLC and completed it now.
This game, Halo 4, was NOT complete, CLEARLY shown by the simple fact that the file share infrastructure isn’t up. These maps were not done a month ago.
Also, I didn’t buy any Reach DLC, calling me a sheep makes no sense.
