I know I’m going to sound like a big noob but I’m confused , i thought it goes of ranks in seasons like league of legends , so what is sr2 and stuff? Is that your over all rank and can that not go down ? Please give me all the info ! Thanks

CSR is the competitive/skill ranking, which you get after playing 10 placement games. You are put in a division with 7 tiers each. You have Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Onyx, and Champion.
Onyx and Champion are, I believe, the top 200 players.

As far as I know your SR is like halo 4 where you earn xp to get to the next rank and it can’t go down but CSR can go up or down depending on your skill level

Yup! You gain SR from both Arena (The competitive multiplayer) and Warzone (12v12 massive battles). 
And no problem, glad I could help! Your SR also doesn’t go down, it’s always increasing.
SR is your Spartan Rank. It is your experience level, which all it really does is show how long you’ve played. You rank this up by just getting experience points through standard play.

SR is only a measure of how much you play with XP, you can expedite the process of that with double XP and such earned from REQs. This is completely unassociated with the Arena ranking in case you are wondering.
And get packs as we move up the SR levels??
I wonder if you get req packs for leveling up on SR as well as your CSR.

Yup! There are REQ packs for simply leveling up as well.

It’s not just Halo CE, but it’s across all of MCC, actually. There is Halo CE’s Mark V armor but I am unsure of the conditions for it. Here are the armors you can get from MCC and their conditions:
HALO MASTER CHIEF COLLECTION TASKS
~ [Mark-VI] Get the “Your Journey Begins” achievement (complete any mission or multiplayer game)
~ [Mark-VI Scarred] Get the “Cairo Station” achievement (complete the Halo 2 mission Cairo Station)
~ [Nightfall] Watch the Halo: Nightfall series (the helmet unlocks after Episode 1, the rest unlocks after watch all 5 episodes)
~ [Helioskrill] Get the “Legend” achievement (complete all four campaigns on Legendary…yikes!)

You can check by going to HaloWaypoint’s main page, going to “customize your spartan” and checking what armors you have unlocked for the game.
However, all armors are unlockable through REQ packs as well. Doing these just guarantees you instant access to those listed for when Halo 5 launches.
As for Halo CE’s Mark V armor. I am unsure of the unlock conditions for it, but as I said, you can get it through REQ packs as well. (If you’re lucky enough. ;))

CSR is your competitive skill ranking, which is decided exclusively by your WIN/LOSS ratio in arena mode

Yes you can. You can unlock it at any time, not just before the game releases.

Last question ! So for competitive arena is there a huge disadvantage for being with out a team of friends ,like can you still get high up in the ranks just by playing with random people , because I’m scared people are going to team and be un stoppable , or do you think even at high ranks there are still good players playing alone and you can win ,( I’m basically saying can you get high ranks without a team of friends)
