In the Halo:MCC trailer (cario station) agent locke is watching clips of master chief. I just noticed that halo XB1 teaser trailer from last year was in it. Does that mean the events from that trailer has already happened? If it has already happened then what does it mean? questions, oh so many questions.
Its either an error or the meeting between Thel and Locke could take place after the events of the trailer.
> Its either an error or the meeting between Thel and Locke could take place after the events of the trailer.
I highly doubt it was an error; I’m thinking the latter.

It’s either that, or whoever created the CGI just took a few stock images of the Chief from different titles/trailers and put them there.

That is the more likely.

This. Not everything is canon.
When I first saw the trailer, I noticed this too.
But not everything has to be exactly cannon, and a trailer is just a teaser trailer. Never take anything from a CGI trailer to be confirmed, only gameplay trailers.
Take Halo 4’s ‘Scanned’ trailer. When did Chief everything hang prisoner in a Forerunner facility and get scanned the crap out of by the Didact?

I was under the impression something like that happened off-screen in terms of Halo 4. Although true, it was never confirmed it if it was canon or not.

Ehhh… you’re right, but you stick with Chief every moment of the campaign. The only time you give him a break is while you’re safely aboard the Infinity. And the clip looks like it would have taken place during the mission ‘Forerunner’… who knows.

Who said it was Thel and not the Arbiter?

Thel was the last Arbiter, so the names are interchangeable.

Thel is the current Arbiter’s real name. :I

Oops, brain fart. I was thinking it was the Elite from the end of the SpOps series.

Jul 'Mdama.
He isn’t an Arbiter, but the leader of the ‘evil’ remnant of the Covenant.
(You may know this, just clarifying.)

My general theory is scanned was cut plot. By the time they decided to cut it, scanned was probably too close to finished, or already finished.

Yeah, that guy lol
They should just change his name to Bob or Evil Arbiter lol

Right, because this is a fairytale dedicated to 8 year olds, isn’t it? Not to mention it would be senseless to call him that, given that he is not an Arbiter at all. He is a shipmaster.

“Captain Lasky, we have a Level Alpha threat level fleet headed our way!”
“My god, Jenkins, what do we do? Who’s comandeering the fleet?”
“Sir, you’re not gonna like the answer…”
“Respond, solider!”
“Sir, it’s… it’s… gulp BOB!”
“NUUUUUUUUUUUUUU”
I’d pay money for that cutscene.
