Can someone tell me if fall damage is returning or not.
It better be.
We have not seen any so far, and when questioned about it during a Q&A they simply responded with “Did you see any fall damage ?”
From the gameplay we’ve seen so far it looks like fall damage makes a return, but we won’t know for sure if it’s still there in the final game. I hope it is though…

We saw fall damage in the forge demo, so I assume that it’s in. In order for jetpack to exist in MM, there needs to be fall damage, so I wouldn’t expect for it to go anywhere.

We did see fall damage in the Forge demo. If that doesn’t mean fall damage is in, I don’t know what does.
If it is returning, I hope it’s tweaked a bit so it’s more tuned to punishing those who jetpack too high, as opposed to just making a jump from “a little too high” (I.E Jumping down from a cliff in Hemorrhage)

Lol I remember Kiki Wwolfkill and the guy she was with saying ‘‘THIS IS NOT FINAL, NOT FINAL’’ like theree times in that demo. Although I can’t blame you, 343i are being really vague about this, and a lot of features to be honest. We hear (don’t know) that Jetpack isn’t MM, yet there are clips of shotty+jetpack on YouTube, we hear conflicting stories about fall damage, and we don’t know the deal with the weapons on map (not ordnance) some say they are random, some say they aren’t.

It’s beta, but 343i have neither confirmed or denied it’s existence. They have only confirmed Armour Lock has been removed.
All those pictures and videos of that “jetpack” looks pretty outdated.
It’s quite possibly replaced by the Thruster Pack.

Thruster Pack is being treated as the replacement for evade. Jetpack hasn’t been ruled out. If it wasn’t in the game I’d expect 343i to clarify it by now. But they haven’t. The videos are the closest thing we have to evidence here and 343i aren’t refuting, confirming or denying the existence of the jetpack.

It’s not that outdated dude, jetpack is returning. Just because we haven’t seen anything about it, doesn’t mean that it’s not going to be implemented. Just like specializations, 343i are holding out on information on some of the armor abilities. We have yet to see: Jetpack, Regeneration field, and Auto Turrets. I suspect that we will be getting the news in the following weeks.
Thruster pack is a replacement for evade, not jetpack. We have seen videos and pics, older than the one I showed you that show the thruster pack in use.
