Wait..CI is making Forge?

Curious if 343 is just over seeing Forge or leaving it all up to CI?

Fixed.

And basically, 343 is just overseeing. Certain Affinity is doing the work.

I’m okay with this. CA can work on making the forge pallets while 343 can focus on the rest of the game. Whereas BUNGIE dealt with everything. And making forgeworld definitely showed they may have been taxed in terms of spreading out the quality of the overall game.

Thanks for the fix, late night for me.

I’d figured as much, but was merely curious. Have they done any forge related things in the past with Bungie? Obviously they’ve been around creating map packs (Halo 2) as well as other games.

Hopefully they can pull it off.

To the post above me; My main concern with forge is budget and screen lag. Halo:Reach’s forge had some pretty bad issues with this.

(Certain Affinity have a thing for killzones, especially insta ones in secret rooms or outside the map to give you a heart attack. And on breakneck you can’t even fly close to the invisible wall because of a kill barrier 10 sec.)

CA has done some nice work with Halo in the past. And seeing as how they’re focusing directly on Forge, I think we can assume it will be very well done. I can’t wait to get some more info about it!

Regardless. I as well hope to see them pull it off. I’ve always wanted Forge to actually function as well as it could. Seems like a lot of potential has been going to waste.

I’m pretty sure he’s talking about that happening in forge.

Um, no, that means we can’t make fun custom games! (I do not exploit mm glitches.)

Oh no! Invisible barriers in Forge are completely pointless. Control freaks. :frowning:
