Wait a sec, I actually enjoy Halo 4!?

As crazy as the title may seem, I really do. I think it’s a pretty well thought out game; not to mention incredibly beautifully done. The artwork is amazing.

All I read on these forum’s is -Yoinks!- whinging left right and centre. The game has been out for what? A month and a bit? Of course there is going to be imbalances, give them time to sit down and work out the best way of fixing it instead of screaming to the heavens and requiring an answer then and there, -Yoinking!- children.

In saying this, I do agree on a number of issues with the game currently. Things I’d really love to see put in place, which wouldn’t be too hard to implement but would have a large effect on the game itself would be things such as:

*Settings to control:
-Mid game joining
-Connection type (i.e. only good connect to good ping games)

*Shield fix
-i.e. it does drain very fast, this would be balanced somewhat if it took longer than 10s to recharge.

*KICK system, if someone AFK’s they should be kicked

*DISCONNECT system, if someone leaves voluntarily from a game, mark their name and make it harder for them to join one next time.

I’ve played every Halo game that’s been released (minus Wars, shocking decision) and loved every one of them for their own reason. I don’t believe this game is a COD port, yeah, it has some CODish elements but I can assure you that COD was not the first game to incorporate a weapons drop in it, and if that’s your biggest gripe with H4, get the -Yoink- over it.
A really nice solution to this would be to have an even mix of playlists, some with insta-spawn and weapon drops and others with weapons on map, which would be really nice and not hard to implement at all.

Last of all just think 343i should be checking out these forums a bit more, it doesn’t take much to even respond to a few posts every day and it would leave those pro-active enough to voice their opinions (/whinges).
I’m not a Pro by any standards, but I have a good time and respect the amount of effort that goes in to stuff like this, I think people should just calm down and just enjoy the game a bit and let 343i do their job, whilst we do ours, kill -Yoink-.
Anyway, Vita out hombres

I agree with you, as far as a Multiplayer game goes, I’m having a whale of a time. I’m enjoying it considerably more than I did reach if anything for the variety in weaponry on top of just having better maps in general(even from the few that we actually have) And the shield thing does miff me a bit, more often than not I find that I get killed because my shields take far too long to recharge.

.

Good post

All the cry babies who are coming here to complain about halo 4 should be mm ing to get good at the game

i enjoyed it for the first 3 days.

What I don’t understand it this: If somebody doesn’t like Halo 4 then why are they still on these forums where Halo 4 is being discussed?

> What I don’t understand it this: If somebody doesn’t like Halo 4 then why are they still on these forums where Halo 4 is being discussed?

Because they have no skill in halo 4 and have no friends irl

> What I don’t understand it this: If somebody doesn’t like Halo 4 then why are they still on these forums where Halo 4 is being discussed?

Because to do otherwise would take too much common sense. You know, the stuff nobody has nowadays?

I too love playing Halo 4, does that mean I like everything that goes on in this game no. Do I think certain areas need improvements, yes, but I still love this game waaaaaaay more than Reach.

I enjoy this game too, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t major issues that need addressed. That’s why people are “whinging.”

I think this game is fantastic. The last Halo I really got into was Halo 2 and put in a lot of hours in MP. I dabbled in Halo3 and Reach, The jump from that to this is huge.

Complaints are pretty common. Wait to Halo 5 and count up the “Why isn’t this like Halo 4” threads. Reading between the lines, most people just want the online world to go back to how it was when XBL was new and fresh. People want to recapture the feelings and nostalgia of their experiences with past games. Which is fine, but doesn’t really create anything new. Those days are played out.

Now if you are good at being non-objective and using imagination. Think about this. Imagine that you are back on the day of Halo 2 release. The only game you know is Halo:CE and the world is excited. You get your game and put it in the machine and the game you get what is in Halo 4. Not talking story or graphics, just the MP elements. The loadouts, challenges, forge, theater, armor customization, weapon drops…basically it would have blown some minds.

Now imagine that this latest game Halo 4, contains the exact gameplay from Halo 2. Think of how much would be stripped away to get back to that level. I guarantee people would be going -Yoink- not being able to have loadouts or abilities or ordanance drops. If they say otherwise, they haven’t quite realized what they have with this game.

I am so happy to see this thread, I have been playing since H2 and have enjoyed every single halo, Even reach wasnt as bad as everyone complained about! I am having more fun playing halo 4 than i thought i would. for sure some of the stuff gets frustrating ( Active camo BKs with bolt shots) ahaha but honestly i think 343 did way more than could have ever been expected

I’ve been trying to smack some common sense and positive thinking into these forums and no such luck, any form of logic and open mindedness are automatically shot down. You can try to reason with people, give examples and facts, you can even concede on a point or two but people refuse to let go of that arrogance and self entitlement.

Some people are complaining about things that make sense, but a lot of player are just going on about how it’s not the same and how they aren’t always #1 anymore.

I’ve been trying to get more into the game even with a lack of friends that actually play but with this community…it’s tough.

I think Halo 4 sucks right now, but I think with some changes it could be a great game. I’ve been a fan since the very first day the first Halo came out. And I, like many other, am hoping that 343i will listen to what I have to say, as a long time fan, and at the very least put in a “classic” playlist that makes it play like h2/h3.

And if you really enjoy Halo 4 so much, why are you on the forums, and not playing it?

For a game only 1 month old by a developer freshly created by MS to manage the franchise, Halo 4 is actually a pretty good game. Could things be improved? Yes, but that happened with each other Halo game. I actually really like Halo 4, much better than Reach, due to stuff like Ordinance Drop and personal loadouts. It adds a touch of unpredictability to the game, something Reach had stripped out with its universal loadout system.
So, in all, Halo 4 is a pretty good game, and hopefully 343i makes it even better.

How does that make any sense whatsoever? It would be silly to force players to sit in a corner for 10 seconds after every 2 second engagement.
