For a solo player, what do you reckon should be an appropriate percentage for the W/L ratio? 60%? 65%? Or maybe 70%
I don’t work in teams, mostly a lone wolf, been like this since Halo 3 was at it’s prime. On this account, it sits on at 66%, but my new one is on 68%. It is bad, average, decent? You decide.
W/L doesn’t really matter at all when you play solo most of the time. I can go +12 most matches and still lose because I get 3 teammates who go -10.
So while you individually do well you still lose the match because your teammates fail at being good at Halo and think running in a straight line at enemies, going afk at the beginning of a match, and trying to melee everyone in an open field is a good idea.
I search as a random every match, which is why mine is so low (50%). I never cared enough about my W/L enough to go in with full teams and increase it.
For the average when you’re solo, 50-60% sounds right. For full teams, 70-80%.

I’m glad I’m not the only who suffers this. I have to say, 68% isn’t too bad, well in my eyes, it isn’t. I can understand the frustration when it comes to awful teammates, I have it all the time, especially in Invasion. I’m starting to play more FFA playlists because of this problem. At least then, I won’t have the burden to carry my team to victory.
Depends on what you mean by appropriate. I think your percentage is decent for searching solo. I’ve got an account that I search alone on with 73% wins through 1000+ games.
I can’t say this definitively, but if it is lower than 50% you’re probably the reason your team is losing. Again I may be full of you know what on this one, nothing concrete backing that up, just my thoughts.
I search solo on my alts and have nearly flawless records at Onyx level Arena and in MLG.
No excuses.
