voting

we should bring back voting i miss being able to vote for the map and or game

Here we go again; Voting, should never come back. How many times do you remember wanting to play a map but everyone always votes the same map, over and over and over and over again? I certainly do. While sure the map rotation could be a tiny bit better it’s far better than repeating maps every time.

Seconded, devilworm. Voting wastes a lot of time in the pre-game lobby, doesn’t ensure that you play the map or gametype that you want, and does ensure that some maps get too much exposure while others get none.

In the long run it isn’t totally fair. At the end of the day, people are going to have opinions on maps and like/dislike maps others may love. It’s all individuality, so picking at random works fine.

Your arguments are undiscerning and show your blind loyalty to a 343. “Voting wastes a lot of time” have you played Halo 5? The whole process of searching for a game is a waste of time. And believe it or not, not all maps are created equally. Some maps are absolute garbage and people don’t want to play on them. While others never seem to get old. Voting would allow us to create new community favorites, but as it stands maps good maps will be dragged down by bad maps. Muddling good experiences with the chore like gameplay that is all to common in many maps.

the idea of voting sounds good. But it isn’t. I’ve experienced too often having to play the one map I don’t want to, over and over again. Though I wouldn’t mind the option of a majority veto like an old Halo title had. (was that H3?) That way you can skip maps you don’t want, but it can’t be controlled otherwise.

I can only speak from my own experience, but in that experience voting gives people a sense of fairness and a sense of control, and both of those are illusions. Make of that what you will.

And I’ve also found that bad maps are usually maps I just haven’t figured out how to play yet. And good maps don’t get better by being over-played. Food for thought.

Perhaps voting/vetoing would be good for the Social playlists. I definitely want it for Action Sack at least. I do get tired of playing all the Breakout game types over and over again while hoping and praying to get at least one Husky Raid or Ground Pound Arena match in.

I don’t want to see voting but maybe vetoing.

That’s not a argument, but I did just learn you are 343 fanboy.

I hope they don’t bring back voting I want to play different maps not the same map constantly no game should have voting for that reason.

The biggest mistake they made for arena

I think the opposite actually, i have grinded through out the night and sometimes it seems i play the same maps over and over or even when a new map in rotation its always that, so i am for sure for voting maps, because they can rotate the ones voted for , right?

Voting is a good idea, it could bring statistics which gametypes and maps players prefer. Also, sometimes the same gametype shows up continiously.
