Will voting ever be a thing in halo 5? Would be really nice considering every new map gets worse and worse lol. Or even just a veto option would be cool.

Voting was removed from Halo because it led to the same map being picked over and over.

As oppose to the system giving you the same map over and over. I’d at least like a chance to avoid getting -Yoinking!- Torque, Snowy Torque, and Riptide. I feel bad for my team with one of those 3 pops up because I hate those maps so much that I know I don’t try as hard or care about getting killed because I lose all motivation to play on those maps.
I always get stuck doing the same ones over and over again. So far today, I’ve had Empire, Stasis, Empire… or I’ll get Regret twice in a row. My point is, the problem already exist without voting. The argument that voting would create an issue that is already a problem is really invalid.

You mean vetoing would. Voting only ensures that less than a handful of maps get picked, and only game modes ending in “BR” are chosen.
I’d prefer veto to voting, but either system would be an improvement.
I’d go with veto over voting. It would definitely be better than the current system at least.

Same, I prefer it over Torque. CTF is fun to play on Stasis!
Vetoing would be fine. Voting would be terrible. But I’m fine with neither.
Why does everyone want veto over voting? I mean I think veto would be pretty ineffective as you could veto stasis and the get something like overgrowth while with voting, the majority of players in the lobby are happy rather than a random gamble for who will be happy with the map! Although I do understand where you are coming from i just believe that voting would improve everyone’s experience more.

Mostly so I can at least protest when I end up playing the same map 5 times in a row or stuck with one I hate. The ability to have a say, any say in what you play would be welcome.

Yeah thats exactly WHY we need voting. There are maps no one likes and maps everyone likes, Id rather play a thousand matches on a beloved map than 1 on a terrible map like riptide or overgrowth.
I actually think it’s okay without both veto and voting.
I don’t find myself annoyed by the maps at all.
But I really doubt that voting will be implemented in Halo 5 or 6. Maybe veto but I personally don’t want either.
Some sort of input from people would be nice.
Veto preferably or Reach style vote.
