Will voting for a map ever be an option in the future??
removing the map voting is one of the few things on which I agree with 343’s decision.
A lot of people don’t get the difference between voting and veto. Sorry not quite on topic but someone always doesn’t understand this and starts talking out of their butt.
Voting is is when you are given a selection of maps and game types and the lobby chooses, 343 has moved away from this because it means less variety because people choose favourites. But this is actually a good feedback system because it tells them what people like and what sucks balls. But they don’t like criticism much.
Veto is when you are given one map and gametype, and have the option to veto and bypass it with a majority vote. If it is vetoed a random map will come up, maybe better, maybe worse. This system works very well because it eliminates the constant favourites being picked, and also gives feedback because a constantly vetoed map obviously isn’t popular. But the downside is it doesn’t tell them what people prefer because there is no active choosing system like in voting.
I don’t care for voting, but not having a veto system is one of the questionable design decisions 343 is famous for.
Make me Halo president for a day so I can veto when I get the same map 4 times in a row.

Yeah I’m all for the Veto system, because if it is voting you get stuck playing the same map 25 times because that’s what people vote for. I mean that’s why you play Blackout 1,000 times in MCC. Not that it is a bad map I just don’t like playing 25 times in a row. Veto>Voting
