Ok so halo is still a good and great game I just feel like we don’t have the feeling of control anymore in matchmaking. when we could vote for maps we could prepare for them. but now its all up to chance. it would be nice to have it again.
I can’t say I understand how voting for maps allows you to prepare for them. You know what map is playing next regardless of whether or not you picked it. I dont see map voting helping anything, and only guaranteeing repetitive map play.
I wish they would bring back voting, I’m tired of playing the rig 99.999999% of the time in Arena

Your implying then that The Rig is the only multiplayer map in H5.
Your asking for a system that will only guarantee a same map played scenario. A legit map rotation is the only real solution but that’s obviously not in effect either

It’s damn near the only map in arena. And it would be nice to not have the 343 dictator tell the customer which map it has to play when there is a voting option available.
I had the game a week after it came out and i hardly get to play many of the maps because of the map picking is awful i have played Altar 1 time and eagle square 3 times and they have been out for 2 months.

I’d be in favor of a veto system. If the vast majority of players in a lobby don’t want to play Eden for the fifth straight time, why make them?
Every week there’s a new topic on voting. It needs to happen.
I -Yoinking!- hate the assclowns that say, “if they add voting you’ll keep getting the same map over and over again.” Mother -Yoink-… I already get the same map over and over. Trust me, Tyrant 3 times in a row will make you rage quit.

Arguments on both sides are completely valid. I’d prefer it, because even if it gets a tad repetitive, it’s nice to at least have the illusion of choice.
The worst would be if the 3 choices were Riptide, Torque, Stasis. Like, wtf, all 3 of those maps are -Yoink-.

You can hate me all you want. Your obviously too ignorant to realize that if there’s only 3 or 4 maps rotating in a given day, then there gonna get played over and over regardless of voting, which is currently the trend.
How bout the scenario like in H3 where you boot up Team Slayer and get stuck in a -Yoinking!- objective game because the majority chose a particular map with an objective that isn’t Slayer?!
The real -Yoink- clowns in this situation are 343. They can’t produce a static map rotation that doesnt recycle a map until all the others are played first. That’s the only REAL solution. Leaving out map voting was the ONLY good thing, out of the huge list of -Yoink- they removed. I’m gonna laugh so hard when map voting gets put back in and everybody -Yoinks!- about how -Yoink- it still is.
P.S. The reason we argue no voting because people keep picking the same map is…
THAT’S WHAT -Yoinking!- HAPPENS!!!The map list is already lackluster. Theres a good chance the one you just played is the lesser of two evils, or the guy that just logged on doesn’t like a particular map and vetoes the one you want, and now your stuck on the map you just played, again!
Y’all needa chill lol. I don’t understand how people get the same map “3-5” times in a row that they claim. I hardly ever play on the same map more than twice in a row. Unless I just have not paid attention, the map rotation seems fine to me.
I want the vote opcion back!! I’m forced to play the same 3 maps all the time!
Yeah the other day in btb i played slayer like 3 times in a row on the same map i feel like that should never happen .
i would like to see the old style system return but i dont see it happening sorry
I don’t like the level vote system, people all start voting for the same maps all the time. I like the way that it is.

This is a great suggestion. My only problems is I like to play all the maps and with a veto system, many people will veto not because they have played that map too much, but just because they don’t like it and then I will never get to play that map anymore.
To make it work maybe they could follow Riot’s method in League of Legends for ARAM. In case you don’t know, ARAM stands for “all random all mid” you can earn re-roll tokens if you get a character that you you don’t like. Halo 5 could do the same, but with maps. That would be the perfect veto system IMO. You could veto if you have a re-roll available, but not every singe match.
So be forced to play the same map by the game
Or
Be forced to play the same map by players
Even with voting it will still happen
I’d be all for a re-implementation of the voting system. Guillotine is a terrible map (and tbh I hated its predecessors), so any opportunity to skip over it would be much appreciated.
