I like the idea of voting for which map gets played in a match, but in my experience it seems to result in the same maps getting picked over and over again. I love Haven and Ragnarok as much as the next guy, but I’m often ending up playing on them 3 times in a row. Could a playlist be created that does not include voting, and that simply cycles through all the applicable maps for a playlist? That way I could finally play on some of the less popular maps, and break up the monotony.
in my case its Exile, every time in Dominion is exile. i rarely get Meltdown, or Vortex, veto was a better system for map rotation
I would prefer the system they already have in place for spec ops when it comes to map selection. Pick your game type, select the map you want to play on, then get matched up with players. Makes it more reliable that players wont just quit out of the game after the first 10 seconds since they are playing on a map they wanted to play on.
Let’s go back to the Veto system in Halo 3. I need map variety.

I really want a veto style instead of voting. I hated in Reach and still hate in 4.
I usually don’t vote so I can back out w/o incurring a loss if a map I don’t like is chosen, and this is what happens…
Notice that Complex has the most votes, so I back out.
Join another lobby and see that Complex again has the most votes, so I back out.
Join another lobby and get thrown into a game in progress… on Complex.
Ugh.
