There is always a trade off with whatever decision is made for the game mechanics.
I voted for off, but on only as long as you can kick for betrayals.
The last thing I want is people griefing others âfor funâ.
Well Iâm glad we put it behind us and itâs no longer a problem.
My experience in ranked was people werenât intentionally team killing unless someone AFKed or actively didnât try and win (i.e. Intentionally not putting shots down in a 2 v 1 or tailing people shooting into the sky)
Iâm pretty sure thereâs already an automated system that does this in ranked. I might be wrong, like I said normally didnât see this type of behavior and generally when a TK did occur the Players I played with didnât exceed 2 TKs.
Would rather play with collision on all players, if that means team damage, Iâm down
IMHO people that intentionally killing teammates and team assets are A-HOLES PERIOD! That is why I have Friendly Fire turned off on my game servers. If I see a userâs team killing I ban their @ss off my game servers. People want to have fun playing the game. People donât like to play with people creating hate and discontent. Like I said People just want to have fun without having to deal with all that crap!

It should be on for ranked and off for social IMO.
on at the very least for social, given that it is social⌠be it accidently splattering a mate, being killed, headshotting a dude in swat⌠is it accidental and annoying? yes and yes⌠but itâs social, so who really cares? if people do it multiple times, then auto-kick after 3 betrayals, simple as that. of course have it off fairly for ranked

I was talking about social, since in Infinite teamkilling is only off in social and not in ranked. Griefing was more a problem in social in my experience.
And i also think it makes a good distinction between social and ranked this way, so just keep it as it is: no teamkilling in social, but on in ranked.
Why? At least give a reason for your opinion.
I say leave it off.
Halo matches rely a lot on strangers communicating and working together. And this doesnât happen all too often. This already makes a match more challenging.
Adding in the ability to damage teammates would be annoying, especially if done deliberately.
I used to think it had to be on for everything, but now I realise itâs much better for me when it is off for social, on for ranked.
Iâm saying that for Ranked Arena team damage should be on. The goal is to win and accidents happen.
Iâm saying that for all Social playlists that team damage should be off. The goal is to play to enjoy the game and not get betrayed because you picked up the sniper.
Off. Not only does the outline system make it harder to quickly identify friend from foe, but team damage only benefits griefers.
Ok I understand that are alot of people just gota love their stats. I understand that but to be honest I could care less. about my stats. Just for your info I am at #24 in season 1 ![]()
Ok for RANK people that love their stats I agree Friendly Fire should be on
![]()
However For Social and Custom Games Stupid Friendly Fire Should BE OFF!! ![]()
I agree. Ranked - turn it on. Social - keep it off.
Turn it on.
Keep track of friendly damage.
Once you get to a certain level warn the player⌠Then if it continues penalise them.
And the game should be able to differentiate between accidental damage, reckless damage, and malicious damage.
That is not possible, because you have to know what is going on in the head of that player.
I have been complaining about this ever since Halo came out!!
Example: You canât kill people with a weapon when you have friendly fire is turned off!! BUT * * * * * YOU CAN RUN OVER A TEAMMATE IN A VEHICLE AND KILL A TEAMMATE!!
HOW STUPID IS THAT???
When you have friendly fire off that should also include vehicles so userâs canât kill a teammate in a vehicle PERIOD!!!

I sort of like this idea of penalizing players once they reach a certain level of team fire damage.
I do like the current system where itâs on for ranked and off for social.
Keeps things neat.
