Endless forum discussion will ultimately get us nowhere. Simple laundry list of things to do, or not to do, if you are dissatisfied with Halo 4 and wish to see 343 turn their heads and ACTUALLY listen:

  • Do not buy Spartan Ops Season 2 (If there is one and they charge for it).
  • Do not buy ANY more map packs.
  • Do not buy any Halo avatar items or themes.
  • Do not pre-order Halo 5 (unless by then they have fixed Halo 4 in your eyes).

Simple as that. If you are unsatisfied with the product you purchased, do not spend any more money on it. That’s consumer activism right there. This is an especially important point to bring up now, because the next map pack is due in a few weeks.

Once again, if you are not happy with Halo 4, stop financially supporting 343i.

Agreed to all extent…relevant lemons.

I’m with that already, I’m not buying Halo 5 unless Halo 4 gets fixed.

I have the Limited Edition, so free map pass for me.
I already have some Halo avatar items and themes.
I will pre-order Halo 5.
If I have to pay for Spartan Ops Season 2, I will consider it.

Good luck with that, I hope you guys get what you want.

i already consider this before even halo 4 comes out
i said to myself if the game have bad connection or its over all not addictive am not going to buy any map packs
also iam now considering to go PC only since i only care about online games so that’s the last halo for me. will it was great 7 years with halo met few of my best friends in it.

I kinda wish I knew that Halo 4 wouldn’t have a local only search option, then I probably would have waited for a price drop before playing a campaign game. Of course, that’s before I realised that the campaign was underwhelming.

Frankly I more disappointed in how they let Reach die rather then keeping it alive, similar to how Team Fortress 2 is still alive. Seems like they wanted to do that on purpose to “encourage” people to play their “Halo”. Kinda like saying, “Look! We’re true Halo fans like you guys! Trust us!”.

I’m beginning to understand when Yahtzee said that a discontinued franchise should at least be given to a developer that hates it.

Halo 4 is great and 343i’s are very good. Stop Hating

Ugh Sarah Palmer… You big stupid jellyfish.

People still think 343 aren’t listening?

They are really improving from the way they were last year. On top of that it’s only been 3 months, would’ve been half a year before changes were made if it were bungie.

Hmmm, yeah already got the map pass… well got free avatars didn’t buy them guess that is good in a way… as for SPOPS, well I play it Solo to skip out on lag and I am already at 130 so no need for extra credits, so I might buy it or not depending on what type of cliffhanger they leave us at and if there is a SPOPS season 2. Halo 5 is a diff story, nvr know til it comes out.

If you’re talking about title updates and patches, Bungie was most likely like every other developer and were hesitant about spending 40,000 bucks just to get it uploaded onto the 360 network. I’m sure if Microsoft ever got rid of that stupid and rather dated policy, then many developers would be updating and fixing their games much more often and Bungie would have created dozens of patches for their games.

I have the Season Pass, so I can’t help that. However I won’t be pre-ordering Halo 5 unless I KNOW that it’s not going to be stripping away features that I been a part of Halo for years (certain Custom Game options, UNSC flying vehicles, viable Forge maps, etc.) Also, we need a Public Beta so that we can see what is and isn’t in the game and how balanced certain things are (looking at you Boltshot and DMR). No-more of this “Trust Uu” talk. 343i still has a lot to prove.

343i claim to have accepted there were faults, not a few but many and it’s clear that they’re openly apologising for them but this thread is correct, no matter how many times people whine or cry, the only way developers will truly acknowledge that fans or just the general gaming community is upset with your game is that if money stops coming in, otherwise they usually perceive it to be fine and dandy because they’re making the dosh.

Unfortunately, I cannot really act upon the whole map pack thing due to purchasing the Season Pass which I received for an extra £4 when I bought the game.

Haven’t bought anything from them, but the game.

The only thing I may consider buying, is the map pass. It depends on how much this game gets fixed and how well the maps play and look.

Trust me, Bungie could have easily afforded that. Heck, it might have even been different for them since the were MSFT’s #1 money maker. Bungie were just a lot slower to respond to the problems in their games than 343 are. Have you ever seen Bungie apologize for their mistakes the way 343 did?

Like I said before, 343 is really making a turn around and I have immense confidence that Halo 5 will easily be the best one. The community here is being too harsh on them. Yes, I understand that things that they have become so accustomed to are gone, but 343 do not deserve the type of ridicule that they are getting. We have no idea what it takes to build a game such as this, and what types of hard choices they had to make and limitations they faced.

i have not heard a single appology actually. bungie however did fix there mistakes remember the beatdown thing they put up and in depth explination of what was going on and how they were changing it and then they did it. They saw the users issue with something and they did something about it more then i can say about 343. the problem the majority of us are having with the game is that it is no longer halo…which is really quite simple accually to fix. ONE -Yoinking!- PLAYLIST where there is no random oranacnce no personal ordance weapons spawn on map in a time manner based on when picked up. the fact that they do not see this very simple soultion to the issue if rediculas proving they have no idea what they are doing. this game was one of the most competitive in the world and they are trying to turn in into something where there is no competitive factor. Unfortinitly they are going to kill the game they do not get that that is what the mjority of people want and that one playlist would make it right and start getting the people who have said -Yoink- this game it is -Yoink- will come back and say hey its halo again!
