Vote/ veto system for MCC?

Should MCC get a veto and or voting system for multiplayer? I know it was present for Halo 5 and Halo 3.

We had voteing for MCC if you didn’t search with a party all you would get was halo 3. No bs

no veto is no good in mcc, if we would we would just rather put the Halo 3 Cd into your xbox the fanboys are crazy and always vote for that crap

I wouldn’t mind seeing a veto system in mcc, we’ve always had voting till the 2018 update and yeah it’s always lead to problems with halo 3 being the only game that would be picked most of the time. But we never got veto’ing, plus we have the match composer now, it shouldn’t be an issue when we have single games selected, when we have multiple tho? yeah I can see it coming out as an issue as people have different things when searching.

I wonder if it could be done with strict maps. For example, in social if you pick CE and Reach, the maps would appear in the roster along with a veto. So it would not be across all games.

If the issue is that everyone votes for halo 3, the matchmaking system should decide the game engine and the voting should decide the map. I would definitely like some kind of voting system though.

343 has said that they will not be reverting to a vote system for MCC. They will, however, continue to monitor and improve on the way maps are selected for multiplayer games.

If it means less Highlands then I’m fine with anything that comes.

I feel with the match composer it’s not really needed. You get to pick the Halo and what games you want. Sure it would be nice to be able to pick it down to the maps but it would probably be a bit over complicated for that. Players just need to toughen up a bit and play maps you may not care for every now and then. I feel Halo is way way better without any voting or vetoing. I feel I get a better variety this way.

I can’t think of a single map in any Halo that I hate so much I’d quit rather than play it. I certainly like some maps more than others but they’re all worth playing, imo.

I agree with this for the most part. I still have only played bloodline one time and coagulation 0 times, and a few other big halo 1 maps I have never played on. I do feel like the ability to search matchmaking across 6 halo games is fantastic and hard for me to complain about.

I feel like a veto system would work if only to avoid one specific map in one specific game. Say, you have H2 and H3 selected, and it ends up being Slayer on H2’s Foundation. I personally hate this map, but I still want to play H2 Slayer, so I would veto, and if the majority of players also choose to veto, the game would switch to a different map while maintaining the game and mode. This could only be done once per match.

I’m cool with the Veto system in theory, but how would you make it work with the Match Composer? People use the Composer to filter out specific Halo games and game modes, and the composer doesn’t just match players together strictly based on their search filters alone, meaning somebody who is searching for just Halo 3 Slayer can match up with another player who is searching for all Halo games and all game modes, and it just happened to be Halo 3 Slayer. I can only really see the Veto system returning for ranked playlists, which have no search preferences attached to them, and have set Halo games and game modes to play.

Here’s the only example I can give for the Veto system working with the Composer. You search for all Halo games, all game modes. It gives you Slayer on a Halo 3 map. If everyone were to Veto the said game mode/map, it would have to be another Halo 3 map, and it would still have to be Slayer, just so it could accommodate the people who have their filters set to Halo 3, and Slayer. I’d like to be wrong, and I’d like the Veto system to work, so I’m willing to hear another take on how it would work with the Composer in mind.
