It would be nice if there was a vote to forfeit option after a player leaves your team. It is close to impossible to win a 3v4 in a diamond 6 level ranked match. This combined with losing rank after a 3v4 loss is frustrating. Something like the system in Rocket League would be perfect.
It would be really cool to have a system where all players could vote to wait for the player to reconnect or vote to end the match. Remove the option for reconnecting and ban the player if they used the menu to leave match. Kind of treat the situation similar to a dropped player in HCS. Could also help with not punishing players for a disconnect.

I am with you on how RL works. If you use the menu you leave you can’t reconnect, but there shouldn’t be more punishments to rating this way as people will just start disconnecting their ethernet to bypass.
They need to implement a system where if you leave you have X amount of games until that leave is gone from your history of punishment and if you leave again within this amount your punishment gets worse, and worse, until you exceed the X amount of games with no leaves. It would then reset to the very first punishment.
Not only should it increase in time banned, but rating lost… Obviously this wouldn’t work until bugs/crashes are fixed because I myself crash around 2-3 times per session I play and this system just wouldn’t work as the game currently stands.

I personally haven’t crashed yet on series X but know it’s a problem for PC players. They definitely need to fix crashing before changing the punishment system. I agree with you that repeated quitting should be punished severly. It completely ruins the game.
I have had it on the X-Box, during Oddball, I got killed whilst carrying. The X-Box just completely locked up. I couldn’t even use the menu to get to home.
