For me, it’s choice #2. I’m still deciding. Without splitscreen, and micro transactions now in the game, and a disc-less LCE, I feel like I’m going to be watching a walk through of H5 on YouTube, and that’s it.
I hate the Xbox One as it is, and plan to stop gaming as a whole. Now is looking like a good time to do just that.
Feel free to leave your reasons for buying, or not buying the game.
OP, i can’t seem to grasp this at all:
You plan to stop gaming, yet you debate with yourself regarding purchase of Halo 5? If this truely is the case, then the lack of splitscreen shouldn’t be a problem for ya. Yes there’ll be the option to buy the REQ packs for money, should one not be so fortunate to have patience but you can unlock it all through progression anyways, and it won’t ruin the Competitive aspect at all. What happens in warzone, stays in warzone.
I’ve pre-ordered the game, no disc, no splitscreen- Doesn’t matter to me. Im here for the game, the franchise i poured an endless amount of hours into. I can deal with the issues here and there.
Good to see that the vast majority of voters are pre-ordered and ready to go! Can’t wait to see you guys on the battlefield.

See ya in the wargames mate!
For me, they could take pretty much everything out of the game besides the campaign and I would still buy it. The story and the characters of Halo is what I fell in love with so many years ago - the amazing gameplay and generally fun multiplayer on top on that was just a bonus. And now that my all time favorite characters (Blue Team) have finally been reunited with the Chief, there’s not really anything that could deter me from playing ‘Halo 5’ at midnight on October 27th (which will be ready to go on my console because I’ll be able to preload it a week early with the LCE).
Never preordering a game again after the MCC.
When companies get the money back before the game is released, the incentive of “making a fun game that people actually enjoy” seems to pale in comparison to the fact taht they can now save more money by cutting development early and releasing a game in a favourable market window.
The only way to tell them this is not ok is to not preorder.
Confident Halo 5 will be fully functioning - but now it’s a principle thing for me.

Yes I have the LCE preordered as well!
The Xbox one is getting a new dashboard thats supposed to be super fast and have a lot of cool features. I’ve seen the videos it looks pretty cool. Plus they came out with the best controller I’ve ever seen. Being the new xbox elite controller which can do so many different things that it amazes me that the price is only 150 dollars. Then you have halo 5 that will have every game type from campaign to custom games played on dedicated servers. No more playing off of someones host that lives across the world and is probably stealing his neighbors internet. If now isnt a good time to be a halo player I dont know when is. I pre-ordered the LCE and cant wait soon enough for Oct. 27th
Haven’t pre-ordered, but that’s just because I never pre-order. I’ll definitely get it, though.
Yes, I plan on buying it. I haven’t pre-ordered yet as I’m waiting for the announcement of the LE system bundle which is what I’m really wanting UNLESS they don’t include a disc with it. I’ll weigh the options of that issue when if it comes about, though.
Granted, I’m disappointed about the lack of splitscreen and stuff, don’t get me wrong. However, the dropping of those features isn’t a game changer for me and nothing can keep me from playing this game unless I end up in a coma in the hospital before its release. I have anxiously been waiting for a campaign to include other members from the SII class, specifically Blue Team. I haven’t been this hyped for a Halo game since Halo 2 simply from a lore perspective. In regards of multiplayer, I didn’t get to play the beta but it looked extremely enjoyable so, I’m excited for that added bonus as well.
I would pre-order but i gotta wait for the console edition to be announced…ugh.
I will buy it because it looks like it could be the best Halo campaign ever and Its multiplayer is even outshining Battlefront, which i wasnt sure that could happen.
I won’t buy it. I only have money for one thing…Xbox live gold or h5… However I hope I eventually get it… For Christmas or something…
I know that I will go trough campaign and then I will go back to the Halo2 classic playlist…
I was going to wait going to hold off on preorder to see if the reviews where any good after the whole MCC fiasco. Then I was debating when they said they would only support 2 player split screen. Now that it is completely gone the game just does not appeal to me anymore. Good luck to those that do decide to buy it. Warzone looks pretty cool but just wont work for me single player only.
I voted yes but I can’t preorder cause my parents don’t put money into buying things on Xbox so I probably will have to buy it on release and does anyone know if you can get Microsoft points and preorder it in the Xbox store
I plan on getting Halo 5 when it is released IF MS would ever tell us what is up with the Halo 5 Xbox one console. I’m not doing a thing until I hear/see that, then i’ll go from there. If I don’t like the look of the system and what you get with it (or the price) I’ll still be getting Halo 5, but maybe not right away.
This said I haven’t pre-order the game, nor will I especially after my disappoint of Halo 4 and the mess that is the MCC.
I am getting LCE, im preordering september or so, i need to save up more cash.
I have pre-ordered, but without split screen most of all the fun that was in halo was gone, namely Halo nights and playing with my family and friends and thus I may end up canceling my pre order I may play the game just to see where the story goes but after that I will just sell it.
