Do you guys wanna see this implemented into the game??
It would be awesome but they won’t add it in Halo 4. Hopefully they’ll add it in Halo 5 ^^
Go bruins!
erm to a certain extent, i dont think as much as battlefield but enough to make holes in building and you get little bits of fire comming out but when ever i hear destructible enviroments in halo i think of tha massive building like triangle thing where the banshee flys past in deliever hope
Not unless it is extremely limited. Like a specific wall you can destroy with a Grenade, to open a new path that is part of the map.
To be honest, and I wouldn’t see destructible environments on most maps. I just don’t think it’s that easy to destroy Forerunner or Covenant alloys.
I don’t see why Halo 4 needs destructible environments. It will ruin the whole point of being able to dip in cover and recharge your shields and take a break from the fight. Halo hasn’t needed it yet, so I don’t see why it would need it in the future.

I totally agree
I would def like to see this.
Honestly, yes! Not to the extent of craziness, but yes that would be nice to see added. Halo 2 added a lot of this, and it balanced it. A balanced amount of destructible of environments would be neat to see incorporated into a couple maps. Because you will have people who like it, people who hate it, and people who could care less.
If it adds to the game by opening up new routes, prevents campers, adds some realism, and is done with a good destruction engine and looks good; then I’ll support it all the way! Mainly because not many games have it (or at least well known games) except for Battlefield and Red Faction, so it may add some uniqueness to the Halo experience. It would also allow for interesting map designs, hidden corridors and more detailed buildin interiors that would otherwise be hidden.
It also gives more use to explosive and gives them a more defined role, which they don’t particularly have at the moment except to get some quick (easy) kills.
Hopefully it will be added in Halo 5.
First, a poll with only two answers to the question should only have two voting options.
Second, no, because damaging the environment, like taking down walls, drastically changes gameplay in an unpredictable way. It’s impossible to take that into account when trying to create balance, for a delicate game like Halo.
Third, no, 343 should focus on making the game perfect first after even considering devoting the ton of resources this obviously requires to implementing it.
as long as its predictable.
there should be identifiable objects that are destructible (wall types, other,).
basically you should be able to look at something and know if its destructible without learning that specific map.
in BF3 you don’t really know what will happen.
I made a post about this earlier… I think there should be destructible environments, but they need to be strong… we don’t want a single rocket demolishing an entire building. Also in Forge you should have an option to make an object “destructible” or “non-destructible”.

Sorry bro! didnt see it! I totally agree with you!
In a simple manner, not like it is done in Battlefield or Red Faction. Have some things destructible, put them in Forge… You know.
That would be very interesting to be able to forge destructible environments!
Can you imagine the aneurysm that would be had by the competitive community if environments degraded as the game went on? You thought Sprint caused massive amounts of rectal discomfort?
In campaign/Firefight, absolutely. In multiplayer, maybe for some certain structures or environment pieces but like maybe precursor and forunner structures can’t be destroyed.
No. Computing power is stretched as it is, and destruction is ultimately a processor-hogging gimmick. I’d rather improved graphics for greater immersion.
ABSOLUTELY. Erm. No.
343i already said destructible environments will be in Halo4, to what extent is unknown.
