Hey you remember that time in Halo 3 where you have to veto on a map … yeah that
vetos map, gets something worse
no thanks, i prefer reachs system.

Gets the same map every match, game gets repetitive.

lol true
Reach’s voting system is worse because it makes mm very repetitive. With all of the options you get the same one is in there way too often. An example of this is hemmoridge (killed the spelling) in BTB. It is played way too much. I personally wold have the old fashion system from h2. You get put in a game and you play that game. No voting or vetoing. It makes the mm much less repetitive.
How about a new system where players set preferences (in a menu) and the voting options reflect the preferences of the players in the match.
I would also like to see 2 voting rounds: 1 for the gametype and 1 for the map.

yes, yes, yes.
Though I want the maps to show up according to the GT. So that we don’t get CTF on a map which clearly isn’t made for CTF.
The voting system is terrible. I’d rather have the game force bad gametypes upon me than see players eagerly vote for them.
Vetoing is better. People always vote for the same gametypes. It’s too repetitive.

yea i love playing what the majority votes…not
countdown, reflection and swordbase are usually 2/3 of my games, so I’m realllyyyyyyyyyyyy tired of those maps

people tend to vote for the maps they think are the best, that’s the reason why your first and last game on gears of war 2 was probably on blood drive or jacinto.
I mean I know it gets boring after awhile but at least you’re in control of what maps are voted for (somewhat)
I veto this thread.
Both Reach’s and Halo 3’s systems had problems. I would like to see 343i do something new. Maybe combining the strengths of both systems into something that works better than either of them.
Polls like these annoy me. Why can’t you just put “yes” and “no”?
OT: Bring back the veto, it gave us more variety.

map weighting can be adjusted easily so every map has an equal chance of popping up, the most preferred map out of that selection gets picked, as long as there is a good selection of maps that come with the game there shouldn’t be any problems.
reach just had bad maps, you get the same map all the time because its either easily exploited or the lesser of the evils, reach has very very few maps worth actually playing so you end up with repeat maps constantly.

This is the same thought I had.
