Although I myself already have Halo MCC, I would love to see Halo 3 getting backwards compatible, mainly because of the missing achievements and the great multiplayer experience.

Meh, Halo 3 backwards compatible would be ok I guess for people who don’t want MCC, but other than that, it would ok I guess.

Indeed at first sight, it might appear not necessary since we already have the MCC and yet I think Halo 3’s unreached Multiplayer experience is one of the main arguments I would want Halo 3 to become backwards compatible. It’s playlist differs heavily from the MCC, not mentioning the actual issues MCC’s multiplayer is still suffering.
I myself am from Europe and experience to a certain degree issues, finding matches besides the usual Social Slayer/BTB/Halo 3 ranked-playlists allthough I have an excellent connection (open nat typ, 50down/10up, wired). A good friend of mine still owns Halo 3 and his old 360. Everytime I’m there we play Halo 3 and we quickly find matches. Allthough last argument appears selfish, I still have a lot of achievements to unlock (hehe ^^’)

No problem. 
I understand what you’re saying but even so, there’s not enough people still playing to justify making it backwards compatible. The current generation of Halo fans expect Spartan Abilities and sprint. They look at Halo 3 and are instantly turned away because its “old and out of date”
