Just made this post on the Xbox Feedback program, because I really do think they should make a Halo 3 Anniversary game.
Go and vote for it! All you need to do is sign in with your gamertag information, and just vote for it.
Halo 3 anniversary would in my humble opinion be a waste of resources, Halo 3 is still a fantastic game and looks amazing, Halo 4 and 5 may have prettier graphics but the textures in those games aren’t as polished as Halo 3’s was. Seriously, go back and play Sierra 117 and just look at the realistic lighting effects and the damn textures, it still looks phenomenal. So… No, Halo 3 does not need a remaster, no halo has “needed” a remaster. Halo CE and 2 were just updated graphically and got a remixed soundtrack, and this because of the outdated graphics of really beloved games. Halo 3 however is not outdated, it looks so much better then alot of other games coming out today, in 2015!
It doesn’t NEED that because that game looks -Yoinking!- amazing. Plus they did some touch ups on the game when it was included in the MCC just as they did with Halo 4… so, if were’re gonna be entirely correct we’ve all ready gotten our Halo 3 Anniversary and it’s part of the MCC
Added note:
I would also like to point out that I really want the concept of remasters and remakes to die and die quickly. The industry is overflowing with them, even with games that aren’t that old, and it’s just so annoying when the studios aren’t spending the money on other new projects

Never said Halo 3 looked outdated. I actually think in most areas, it DOES look better than the new Halos. But there are some outdated graphics, such as the people.
There are many people who dislike the direction of the new Halos, and Halo 3 anniversary would definitely be a gift to those people. Even if it’s just the same game with added game types, playlists, forge options, new maps, etc. NON buggy. Lol
The MCC is a joke; let’s just be honest about that. The game is still constantly crashing, the whole matchmaking system is subpar, the customization is really weak, and the community and population is just terrible. And that’s only some of the problems.

The MCC has been working fine for months.
Anniversaries aren’t just about graphics. CE celebrated 10 years of Halo and Xbox. Halo 2 Anniversary celebrated 10 years of Xbox’s online multiplayer ability, as Halo 2 really kickstarted that, and it was bundled with the 3 other Halos. CE and 2 were also unavailable for online play.
Halo 3 Anniversary really doesn’t have anything that justifies an anniversary besides it being 10 years old. And if that’s the only reason, then it’s an utter waste of resources and would be the definition of milking a franchise.
I’d have to agree with JSA343. As cool as it could be to have Halo 3 remastered and out there on the X1, it really would be a waste for resources pulling that together. That time could be better spent working on MCC, Halo 5 and the other projects that they have planned (TV series, Halo Channel, Hunt The Truth). Halo 3 was a great game, but we have it in MCC and the possibility of it being backwards compatible. I can’t see any merit in making an Anniversary edition - if it did happen, cross play with 360 users wouldn’t happen so we’d have yet another Halo multiplayer that would split population.

Halo 2 wasn’t a celebration of just Xbox Live. It was a celebration of Halo 2 and what it did for the franchise. Halo 3 has just as much of a reason to be celebrated since it was also a very important part of the franchise. It introduced many new features, had the biggest player base in Halo history, and was the conclusion of a fantastic trilogy.
If you really think it’d be a waste of resources, I’m sorry. Lol. That makes no sense. That’d be like saying the MCC was a waste of resources, considering they made money off of it.
Profit = More resources
Can’t really make sense of the logic that it would be a waste of resources. Especially since not much money goes into a remaster/remake compared to an original game (For example, like Halo 5.)

They should definitely make this. It’s not a waste of resources, that’s basically saying that Halo: Combat Evolved anniversary and Halo 2 anniversary was a waste of resources.
I’m down.
i love halo 3 but I have to say i think its a little too soon for Halo 3A maybe in a few years

2017: 10th anniversary
Yeah. Sure.
im going to vote its one of the best
Add-on to MCC. Yes
I voted… I think it would be a great idea to have an anniversary edition, it’s not a waste of time or reasources it should be made
I would love to see something on halo 3’s anniversary thou.
Doesn’t have to be a complete game…
Maybe in later years. Right now the graphics are still pretty great.
Yes. A “Halo 3 Anniversary” would be very cool indeed, but we’ll probably have to wait until 2017 a that year marks the 10 year anniversary for “Halo 3”
Before you all shout “yes”, consider the resources needed and the overall payout. H3 is fine as it is. The only problem with it is the online population, which was fixed thanks to MCC.
