Does anyone know if you can get Noob Combo medals while using the Void’s Tear Plasma Pistol? I haven’t been able to get one with it yet, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible since I haven’t been trying that long. Just wondering if I’m wasting my time and should just use one of the lower req plasma pistols. (If not, then it would be similar to how you cannot get headshots with the Nornfang.)
I don’t think you can get the Noob Combo medal with the Void’s Tear. The black hole throws your target around, making it difficult to land a follow-up headshot. Best save it for vehicles or even crowd control.

I’ve gotten the headshot just fine with it. The part I’m wondering about is how the void’s tear does more damage as the enemy is in the black hole. This extra damage may be the part that is preventing the medal from popping.

The only method would be waiting for the black hole to explode, then you can finish them off. The vortex has the potential to kill a Spartan if they fail to escape it, so be wary of that. But in all honesty, it would be a very slow Noob Combo.
I believe i have gotten one. It pops the shields like just anything else. Hitting that head shot is definitely the tricky part

Then it probably doesn’t work with the voids tear!

Well I pay no attention to medals and dont play lots of warzone but few times I have (I have less than 20 games of warzone I think) people have wrecked me with voids tear and halo 2 BR
I think it is possible,its a plasma pistol after all.
I have only gotten noob combo with the lower tier plasma pistol and I know I have gotten a head shot directly after using a voids tear.
I think that you cant get noob combos w voids thear. Not sure but I havent gon one if I remember right.

Medal or not it’s a great idea, especially if you follow up with an H2BR shot to your helpless victim

I think you have to wait for the black hole to disappear (without the explosion killing your target), then you can finish them off.
You can.
Best to do it as soon as it hits them, because the vortex still does damage and may kill them.
Use a br and drag your shot too
There seem to be a lot of mixed answers here. If anyone gets a noob combo with the void’s tear, please link a video!
i like to make combo weapons using the void’s tear if you find any good void’s tear weapon combo’s tell me
It could work but i don’t think it does, i don’t use the voids tear at all so i wouldn’t know
Have have gotten the head shot many times after using voids tear and never got the noob combo medal for it so pretty sure it doesn’t count.
