Hey waypoint, I was just playing Halo: Reach (Don’t sue me) and I started wondering, are Steve Downs and Jen Taylor going to voice Master Chief and Cortana in Halo 4? Just curious. thanks in advance guys

I think this is something 343 is going to answer. It’s one of those “You’ll have to wait and see.”
As far as Steve Downs goes, I think it’s practically confirmed (via Halo 4 reveal) that he’s returning.
I would say most likely yes, but we have no official word on it. But with Monday coming up I think we might get that.
Also who cares if you played Reach I do all the time.

If they had new voices for chief and cortana, fans would lose their -Yoink-. So yes, they are returning.
Probably, but I would like to see Suave Smooth do the voice for Master Chief.

I will honestly hate on 343 if Chief and Cortana sound too different. I suppose I could get used to ( reluctantly) new actors but they would have to be at least 90% accurate to the original voice acting for me imo. So 343, please just keep it clean (lol) and please both old and new fans with what Chief and Cortana have always been and always shall be. It will be hard to make the same emotional story connections without the same actors. Plenty of movies have proved this before and its not pretty for anyone.
