I thought that the Voices of war req pack is a good idea but of course 343 couldn’t resist making more money out of their remaining player base (because it’s NOT like they made tonnes of money form all of their other req packs already). They could have priced it lower (10 dollars is way too overpriced), purchasable out of Req points or better yet just release it for free. Ladies and Gentlemen, Halo 5 is a prime example of why microtransactions should never be implemented into a AAA game. The microtransactions have got worse since October of last year and I fear that they will return for Halo 6 and beyond (seeing how 343 and -Yoink!- have made millions are dollars out of them). Hell, even in Reach, Bungie gave us the option to have the voices of Master chief and Johnson in the MP and we didn’t have to pay $10 for that (I am aware that they cost lost of credits but that’s not the same as microtransactions).
Also so on a side note we didn’t learn anything new about the upcoming update. All we got was the bs “official” reveal of the grenade launch even though it was clearly visible in the updates trailer. Why can’t you give us something new 343? Show us more Unknown reqs? a new map? a new gamemode? not even a incomplete req sheet?!?!?!? Anything that we didn’t already know that was in the -Yoink!- update!!!
Okay so I’ve calmed down now but I’m still deeply disappointed in 343 with how they handled the voices of war req pack and kind of angry at Grim and Ske7ch (both of whom I think both do a fantastic job in their respective jobs) with how they didn’t reveal anything new about the update although I can forgive them for that as its only one minor nitpicking thing. However I did spend A LOT of money on the req packs and looking back on it now I really regret buying those req packs and I will not buy the voices of war req pack (unless it’s price drops or is purchaseable out of RP).
I’ll buy it so I can get rid of that irritating Teamleader’s voice in Arena, hopefully Jeff can still announce the medals.

I’m not concerned with them revealing update details early. When the update is ready it will come out.
I am, though, very disappointed that the Voices pack is premium only, and I shan’t be supporting 343i by buying it.

You do realize how hard voice acting is, right?
The entire concept of microtransactions is to cash grab, hell the entire concept of selling an item is to cash grab that’s how the economy works.
Just saying, I’m totally against all of this -Yoink- but I’d rather people not just hate someone for wanting money in an environment created off of it. Even Industry Best Kojima certainly wants his pay checks. That being said he certainly doesn’t seem to be the kind of dev who wishes to -Yoink- his fans in the -Yoink- but just rolls with the system. The really horrible Konami filled system that he lives in sadly.
P.S. Should industry best be capitalized? I’m unsure and in my first edit it wasn’t but it’s an award so I guess it does. Eh, what hell I’ll do it anyway.

God I really hate Palmer constantly talking during a game of Warzone. I haven’t heard that we can still destroy the enemy core line in a while. Did they remove it or something?
You know I read somewhere that it says that it’s optional and you don’t have to buy it but I could be reading too much into it.

I know it’s optional but it’s still a cash grasp which dissapointed me because I really liked the concept of this.
I thought updates were free why do we have content hidden behind a paywall. It’s pretty expensive content for what it is, if it were dlc I would get more for my 10 bucks.
The other thing is halo is pretty dead now, I can’t find games in the playlists I like to play. What use would I get out of it if I did buy it?

Sure, but if 343 is all about giving people optional content, then why not make it an option to use REQ Points to purchase this content? A lot of people will happily fork over $10 for this pack, so I doubt they’d be missing much by people using REQ Points to buy the pack.
