If there’s already a topic involving this let me know.
Im on Xbox and there’s only an option to turn off spartan chatter, or just mute all voices in game, but is it me or should we have options to enable or disable certain AI, spartan, announcer callouts? I feel like most of my game is of voices I don’t necessarily need or want to hear during gameplay.
I’d love to see a toggle for callouts across all the different voices like I can toggle off ai responses for picking up weapons, or announcer medals for ninja for example.
To me it just feels like I hear more of them than I do the game itself.

Probably not. It’s mostly there to make it feel more alive via immersion and what not.
I do appreciate the AI letting me know when the power items are coming, or when I pick something up without realizing it like grenades off the ground or an equipment. But aside from that and Jeff I don’t really care to hear all the extra commentary. If I pick up a gun I know what I did, the AI doesn’t need to call it out for instance.
I do find when I’m chatting with a team and we are communicating the other voicelines kind of just fade into the background and I don’t notice them as much though.
Yeah I appreciate some of the things it informs me of. Low ammo, power weapons and equipment. That’s why I’d like, it being an AI, I should be able to tell it what I want it to tell me. It’s fun and quirky and enjoyable at times but more often than not I want it to stay quiet
I am for options but personally would never turn them off and would even like them to get updates to improve and increase them in the near future.
I noticed a few weeks back just how much I enjoyed them and how much relevant information they give that human players just won’t share.
But again…options for those such as yourself is fine.
I’d probably like it much more if we had more ai types to pick from. The ones I have are, to me, a little too geriatric
Certainly wish I could unequip the AI, I don’t find any of their lines entertaining; cringy rather (Lumu, I can tolerate somewhat more than the others). They don’t feel like a companion that would help me get an advantage in combat, like the Chief, Cortana dynamic. Yeah, that’s a bit much to ask for, but they don’t really do anything for me than tell me what I can already find out on my own (ie. power object spawns, since they have counters).
As for the Spartan chatter, fortunately, I can turn them off because they too sound uninspired and awful compared to the voice acting done for Guardians.
