Just ONE. I’m very curious to see what tops everyone’s lists.
Here’s mine:
Promethean Vision. I try my absolute hardest to try and like all of the Armor Abilities in the game. But this one will have me worried until I try it myself so my fears can be put to rest. Knowing that once people learn of this ability, many will flock to it because it’s ‘X-Ray Vision’ and in comparison to the other abilities, it may sound like the obvious choice. I’m just afraid that this will become the most commonly used ability, therefore forcing players to constantly use the Waterworks specialization too lower its effect and grant them a better chance against it. But as I said, we’ll know for sure on launch day.
Remember:
Just one! Don’t give me a grocery list of problems that you have with the game. Just the biggest one of all.
Theres lots of little things I could nitpick about, but I guess the biggest concern I have is whether H4 will have a decent ranking system (like highskill ranking, not exp ranking)
I’m concerned about 343i changing weapon sounds drastically. Like the Needler sounds crap now, that’s the only way to describe it, it sounds like a UNSC weapon. It sounds human and modern, rather than alien and futuristic.
Not to mention, how can a weapon sound suddenly change? There’s no software on it that you can download new sounds when the weapon fires, so I do not understand how some of the weapons have changed so much.
I don’t like how a lot of them sound like modern day military guns.
CQC Combat: Specifically if the AR Deathcharge is going to come back and if automatic weapons are going to be clubs that are completely outclassed by precision weapons in the automatic’s native range.

Honestly, Anniversary’s weapon sounds were the best of the series. By far.
The Banshee. It ruined every -Yoink!- BTB encounter in Reach with it’s ridiculously large boost meter and the fact that the axis it rolled on was so far from it’s actual center. It was like a -Yoink!- fly with Parkinsons and ADD got a hold of WMDs.
Never again. I’ll never say I want something in an upcoming Halo game to be more like a previous one, but I hope they at least slow it down or give it some weight.

It’s a stylistic change. There’s no rhyme or reason other than the new guys working on it didn’t want to copy something that’s already been done. I’m not sure it’s something that can be explained without you having experienced it.

Eliteslaya13, have you heard of a game called Blacklight: Retribution? It has something called HRV, which is almost exactly like PV. I play this game quite a bit, and even though I use the HRV quite a bit, I can still lose a match with a bad K/D. Being able to see through walls != being the most skilled player. The person behind the wall can still outshoot you, or if they have a power weapon, you probably won’t be able to take them down.
My biggest concern has to be their implementation of a skill system. Although I’m sure 343i will come up with an ingenious system, I’m going to be wary till I play the game.

I don’t really care once everything sounds like it should, also weapons should be instantly recognisable as Halo.

I think I even made a thread dedicated to that matter. It was a serious problem in Reach, but i’m 99.9% positive that it’s been nerfed.

I’ve never really caught onto that game, but I wasn’t aware of that, i’ll take a look at it. And i’m sure 343 has developed a new and hopefully improved skill system. But lets not get into that, there’s already a…certain…thread that attacks that topic.

the huge difference between halo 4 and BL is that you cant shoot while using it, while with PV there are no drawbacks. But alas, this is no “PV is OP” thread.

It’s won’t be. This isn’t Bungie’s Halo. Things are going to be different because different people are working on it. I don’t know why people aren’t getting this. Two different artists painting the same person won’t bare the same results.
> > Multiplayer lag and black screens. Seriously…

Sorry but it won’t be, Halo 4 is still p2p and p2p means hosts, lag, bad MM experience as population goes down. Hopefully they managed to cut down on the black screens at least.
OnT:
Halo 4 is still p2p, which means lag, slow search times and bad MM over all. I hope to see a true Halo on Dedicated Servers next gen, then again Halo and CoD are the only big FPS games to keep p2p, and we all know how seriously awesome CoD is (sarcasm) so I understand why 343i don’t want to deliver something better (heavy sarcasm)
