So I am sure that 343 has already gotten (and presumably finished recording) a voice actor for the Didact, but I was just wondering who you all think should have gotten the role. Honestly, I would have loved to hear someone like Jeremy Irons or Terence Stamp (I said someone like, not exactly these two). Someone with a very distinguished voice that can have a scary quality to it. The Didact as a character is someone who is ancient and has made a galactic reputation on being one of (if not the best) soldiers in history. I just hope that his voice lends to that.
Whoever he his, he has to be British.
I vote whoever voiced Harbinger.
Or Frank Welker will do as well.
Sean Connery FTW!!
“Ahhh reclaimer whats the difference between a mallard witha cold and you?? Well ones a sick duck and…i cant remember the rest but your mothers a -Yoink!-!!”
“whahahahhahahahahahhahaha”
Jeremy irons has a very distinct voice and would be good as well. I really like the sound of Peter Cullens voice and Optimus prime. too bad his voice is basically only known for Prime. Tim Curry is another that has a interesting sound to it
To be honest when reading the books I always imagined him to sound like Keith david, the guy who voiced the Arbiter.

Cuz of the accent? Because i always thought the british accent made people sound more funny than intimidating.

I always thought he would have sounded more like Saren from ME1.

That’d work too. Especially if he slowed down and sounded a little more deliberate and less conversational. Maybe that’s just me.

No because the Southern English accent is commonly portrayed as very sophisticated and intelligent by americans (I live in London) and although this isn’t the case it’s just a common misconception, it really works well because of England and the rest of Britains rich history, so the accents tend to work well in the Sci Fi and Fantasy Genre
I.E. Guilty Spark, C3PO, Obi Wan Kenobi and 99% of the Lord of The Rings cast.
Sylvester Stalone haha.
When I was reading Cryptum, I envisioned his voice as Bill Nighy. He is most known for Davy Jones in Pirates of the Caribbean. I like him as an actor but he can bring a very razor edge sternness and confidence to a character that I thought the Didact would have.
Maybe Michael Fassbender. Not his own accent obviously, more of his British accent. Although how funny would it be to see the imposing Didact, leader of the mighty Prometheans, and when he opens his mouth he has an Irish accent?
…Liam Neeson, please
just because he is my most favorite actor/person of all time. lol.
James Earl Jones >.>
perhaps a voice similar to the domain (but deeper):
Also wouldn’t it be cool if our team colours showed on the monitors like this?

Possibly, sounds like a decent choice
Zombie Morgan Freeman
Arnold! Can’t spell his last name and I’m not gonna butcher it. But the mother effin Terminator. Yea.
I’m pretty sure that Fred Tatasciore (AKA Saren) is the Didact’s voice actor, based on the brief line of dialogue we heard from the E3 Demo.
