The social element of this game is dead in the water, you can’t even listen to your lobby in custom games browser listing, nor can you hear the lobby chat before and after games. It feels like a single player game unless you are paired with your own friends in party chat.
Is this to prevent bullying?
Guessing most people don’t play with a mic or have the player voices disabled, which is the default setting unless you know how to change it. I don’t use a mic but I listen to my team if someone is talking and will type a message when I feel I need too
In the settings for voice chat on controller it says you can select ‘push to talk’ I’ve pushed all the buttons and none of them let me talk!?!
There aren’t that many cyber bullies in this game, there are a lot of very nice helpful people though. 10/10.
Most people can’t be bothered to communicate with one another. Seems that most games are like this now-a-days honestly. I never get more then 2 or 3 that actually communicate in any given match in Big Team Battle…
i know from the COD game’s there have remove it compleet from there game’s about the bully part since the classic trash talk we all know has chance to bully each other more so there have never make a return to it.
and now a day’s most people use discord for it.
but i have always turn if off since i like to listing some music in the background when i play a multiplayer game.
I don’t like the built in voice chat that cuts out during loading screens…it annoyingly interrupts a lot of fireteam conversation. My fireteam and I usually use party chat instead. For better or worse it means that anyone else on the team can’t hear us. I suspect a lot of other parties do the same.
This is one of the reasons i stop playing, in mcc you can speak with everyone or your team or your squad, in halo infinite they only allow you to speak with the team.
That might be one of the biggest problems. Custom Game Browser lobbies should at least have a voice chat option in game. It is unlikely people are gonna set up a discord for random individuals to join for custom games. Discord communities probably will.
