What’s the consensus here? I’ve seen claims that it may have been adjusted with stronger aim assist, stronger magnetism, reduced bloom, and/or reduced recoil.
I have not noticed any changes myself, but I have tried to use it regularly since launch. The damage has definitely not changed. Has it truly been tweaked or are people finally getting used to it now that they are forced to use it in LSS since it outranges the earlier-level weapons?
That said, 343, please bring back the original 7-shot optimal (headshot) kill and 10 body shot kill. It still falls well short of the BR.

It’s better than Assault Rifle due to range and it’s better to scope burst fire. Don’t hold fire. Spraying has high recoil. Just tap bursts at the head. I can kill people from really far in BTB and LSS with it. Using it as an auto rifle is just pointless since the recoil is so bad. It’s good at close range and far range, but terrible at mid-range. I’d rather spray with the Assault Rifle at mid-range.

I barely use it, but I have been melting people in Last Spartan Standing with it. One thing I can say it’s definitely not the pre-flight Commando still. Honestly don’t know if it’s changed. I should use it more in BTB really.
Is it mentioned in the patch notes at all?

Not the biggest fan of the Commando but I think it takes a bit longer before it starts to kick like a mule, i.e. reduced recoil from sustained fire. I don’t think anything else has changed but I rarely use this gun.
As with literally every weapon in this game: I avoid it cuz I’m trash with it. Until I’m forced to use it, get a little practice in, and suddenly I start to like it.
That said, I pretty much only pickup the commando if I can quickly pair it with the PP.
I still used the Commando a bunch even before Season 2 but I don’t think its been rebalanced. Still feels relatively the same.
Actually hope LSS helps people realize that the Commando gets a bit of unnecessary hate, at least in my opinion. While the Battle Rifle may still be better and easier to use, when it comes to a mid-long range option the Commando is still a rather decent weapon even with its awkward aiming and handling.

They force this CRAP gun on us in Swat and it’s the WORST rifle in Halo history. Swat is a very precision shooting game and this rifle with it’s recoil is very frustrating.

Commando is my favorite gun in Infinite besides Mangler. Learn to aim below the chest and fire short controlled bursts of 3 to 4 taps. Save automatic for extreme close range and vehicles. Had an amazing game this morning with the Commando doing most of the work!
I refuse to level up in Last Spartan Standing because I’d rather quit the game than touch a Commando. I’d take the Sidekick over the Commando anyday.
I take it back, it’s actually different. It feels like it’s been adjusted a bit. Still determining what precisely. I think it has less recoil.
I personally haven’t noticed any changes to the Commando.
The Shock Rifle on the other hand seems way more reliable than it ever was in S1.

Good to know. I’ll take this as official confirmation. And I’ll keep practicing because based on their S1 outcomes report, this may be the next to get a slight buff.
The weapons do “feel” a bit different in LSS… but most likely just my imagination 
They should just revert to flight version, nuff said.

This gun is contested.
By all others it is bested.
Shooting at range it is quite a shame.
In close quarters it is about the same.
