I love where this game is going, does anyone else agree? I expect 343’s vast concept art is only the beginning. Food for thought: At 0:55, there are stone effigies of people.
Yeah, I was really impressed with the skyboxes on the remake of Timberland. It looked so vast and empty, it was really amazing actually. I hope we visit that place at some point in the campaign (or a place similar).
Concept art =/= what the game will look like. It’s just an artists idea of what it could look like. Plus with all the technical limitations game worlds/items often look quite different to the beauty found in the original concept art. Just sayin’; concept art is no indication of how good the game will be graphically.
Also, for all we know that concept art could be from scrapped ideas.
Most of the time I’ve seen concept art after playing through a game. Pretty much every game I’ve said “woah, that’s some cool art, why didn’t they go with that?!”
I don’t doubt the same will happen here, and I understand that. However, these concept art images look really nice so I kind of hope that they will manage to get us some awesome visuals in the final game like the concept art. =)
