Could future visual studio community editions implement optional development tools for halo infinite forge updates?
As programming languages are becoming easier to learn with the assistance of intellicode suggestions and machine learning it seems natural to encourage a new generation with interest in learning computer programming. An interactive digital playground that forge already is would benefit from those who become frustrated with navigating script brain menus and are ready to transition to a more realistic programming language environment.
Personally, i love the idea of being able to place a script brain in halo forge, minimize my game window, fire up visual studio and open an existing slipspace++ project and see the script brains i just threw down in the map and be able to have cortana suggest intellicode typing suggestions based on my user data. Like if i’m trying to make a waypoint for enemies to secure and also want to add some other functions not easily accessible from the script brain in game menu i can just do that in visual studio. I mean for advanced developer tools like that i would pay a yearly subscription for in addition to regular xbox game pass as a learning tool for myself for personal skills development. I imagine if i were a parent, i’d buy that for my kids even if i didnt play halo just so they could learn and play around with computer programming/3d design in the unique way that intellicode makes suggestions while working in visual studio

mmmm also worth noting is curating the theoretical slipspace++ programming language in visual studio for shipping so that end users do not have the ability to call important server based functions so that the cloud environment remains secure. only options that are safe for forgers to tinker around with like custom game score settings, labeling objects and creating boundaries would be recognized within the visual studio environment. like you would be unable to make scripts which would cause disruption to the servers because they simply are not a part of the visual studio slipspace++ add on for forgers this could serve as an interesting project for cybersecurity interns to solve: determine which classes are safe to ship to forgers like me so that i could try to mess it all up and still uphold whatever principles and tenets of clean and secure code should be.
i think this synergy between forge and visual studio will bring real world applications of computer programming in the view of a new generation in a way which simply went unseen by many people i grew up alongside. how do i explain this better? like, i take my ability to use computer for granted. it just comes naturally to me. i grew up scribbling in mspaint when i was 24 months old or whatever. today i set up smart products with relative ease. except i am terrible at computer programming!
however if instead of doodling in paint at 2, i were manipulating objects in 3d in forge and notice this script option basically from birth then maybe i would have found computer programming would have come as naturally as i use computers today
sorry for the long post lol
