With the new halos, hexagonal patterns have been included with the visors of almost all helmets. For me I like my visors more clean with few lines on it but not a completely clear visor. You can see a visor without these hexagons with the pilot helmet that was recently introduced into Halo 5, though it is not my favorite looking helmet i somtimes wear just because i like the visor.
What do you think about the hexagons on the visors, do you like or dislike them?
I’ve noticed that too, It doesn’t really bother me
I like them personally. No real reason behind that though lol.
The hexagons look cool, and have some “practicality” to them: having a honeycomb composition makes things super-strong, which may help keep the visor intact while under enemy fire.
I’ve never understood it either. It doesn’t bother me too much but I like the cleaner look without all of the patterns on it.
Something I’ve noticed is that the developers tend to over detail things (this is very prevalent in Halo: CEA). The visors are just another example of that.

When you put it that way, I am more supportive of it. It makes sense.

That would probably be Bungie’s fault, since CEA is basically just CE with Reach designs pasted on top.
I personally like the hexagons.
I kinda think that the hexagonal pattern on the visor is a nice touch to it. Makes it a bit more modern.

I’ve never noticed it then. I’ll have to go back and compare the two.
I dont really like the hexagon craze as a whole. The reason they do it outside of practicality would be because it’s a main stream thing to have a clean hexagonal patern to things. ESPECIALLY if you want it to be futuristic.
I would prefer smooth visors, halo 1’s visor was my favorite of them all.

Another reason why I don the Nightfall helmet—smooth and clean; no hexagonal pattern.
I kinda like them. It makes it look like there is an advanced technology in the visors. The clean looking visors remind me of just a colored sunglass lense.
As always, more options such as smooth or hexagonal visors would be great, much like how having a colored undersuit or black undersuit option would be great.
343, more options are always welcome! :3
Don’t mind the hexagonal patterns on the helmet. Wouldn’t care what happens to it.
I like the hexagons. They just look nice on the helmets
I like the hexagons however it’s reminiscent of the covenant style and I think each faction should be distinct from each other. But if it stays I wouldn’t mind.
I like the patterns I think it makes the visor look really cool.

maybe they can add a visor overlay like hexagon, frost, grime, blood, ect…

More options aren’t just welcome they make sense for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is probably more micro-transactions for 343.
