So do you think this could be a ancient human place we will be visiting? Would you even like to visit ancient human places? ( I am talking about the humans in the forerunners era just in case some of you get confused)
Chances are it’s actually Sangheilios, the Sangheili(Elite) homeworld. Hence why the Arbiter is their. Agent Locke likely went to go see the Arbiter because the Arbiter(Thel’ Vadam) is basically the only person to have bore witness to most of the Master Chief’s exploits during Halo 1 - 3. The key word is most since at the beginning of Halo 2, Thel was on High Charity and likely learned of the events later on. He was in charge of the fleet at Installation 04 though during Halo 1, but likely never went to ground. Just witnessed from orbit.
Yeah it looks like the elite homeworld now that I look closely since their world has two moons just like it shows in the background. Still I am hoping we can visit different planets if possible. (Not too much like mass effect lol)
I think the forerunners destroyed much of ancient human society. Charum Hakkor may still have Precursor remains that were repurposed by humans, as they are thought to be nearly indestructible, but in Cryptum it states that even those structures were in ruin and decay.
Although it would be really cool to visit ancient human cities like the one that was mentioned in Primordium that was on Installation 07, I doubt they would do this. Come to think of it, were the ruins on Delta Halo in Halo 2 ancient human? Or were they forerunner? I’m pretty sure I read that they were forerunner, but they always seemed too primitive to be forerunner.

And in all honesty I think even that ^ is a long shot.

How so? ONI is aware of ancient humanity. They could very well have found ruins already. Humanity was very widespread.
Ancient Humanities worlds are probably the most sought after thing by me, personally. They didn’t get nearly enough description in the Forerunner novels, but what was provided was thoroughly enticing.
Building their society atop Precursor artifacts? The variety of humanity that was around at that time --I’m assuming the various shapes that Riser and Chakas represent were in play prior to being devolved.
My only fear is that in showing us Ancient Humanity, and thus the Precursors, something gets lost in the transition between the potential of my imagination and an artists rendition. But hey, I think 343 can pull it off.
