Visible progression rank can be boosted.

So we need to remove it. People will buy and sell accounts on the black market, and boost and cheat their way to SR-130. Players will get better weapons and equipment earlier than those who do it legit simply because they cheated their rank.

Yeah 50 other people already beat you to this horrible joke… look back a few pages

Sitri you were participating in the topic that pointed this out. Why make another one? Anybody who doesn’t hate on a visible skill based ranking system already knows this.

Hey look! Someone decided to create ANOTHER thread on the SAME subject.

It’s a shame…I used to like this poster…

The thing I find funny is the other reason David Ellis gave for the removal of skill ranking, that players apparently obsess over it instead of focusing on the game, is the only reason we have progression ranks; because people obsess over them.

facepalm*

It’s people like you that are the reason why nothing changes…

Alright, what if the ranks were still progression system, but there was a separate playlist with three or four game types that had the 1-50 visible. The 1-50 would not affect the ranking system as the ranks would still be based on progression. The 1-50 would ONLY show up inside of the playlist and NO WHERE else.

pros:
1.) Vanity players would be wiped out since it does not affect rank or show up outside of the playlist.
2.) Those who like to work towards a goal would still be drawn to it since they can set a goal.

cons:
This is where you all come in, but right now it seems like a win-win to me.

By looking at 343i’s logic, we shouldn’t be able to drop the oddball or grifball and everything realted to numbers and boosting should be removed.

There are already multiple topics on this and you’re participating in at least one from what I’ve seen as another poster noted. Why do you contribute to flooding the forums over something that’s already being discussed? Provide input on it and give suggestions to make it better. Don’t simply blurt out you don’t like it. Maybe they’ll add it in the next game if that portion of the competitive community can work together and without making themselves look pretentious.
