The only way the xbox 1 would ever beat ps4 (I hate play station btw) would be if they came up with a virtual reality helmet, or pod that would be the best gaming experience ever.
Like this? Nintendo tried that first, and it didn’t really work. I doubt Microsoft is going to put that much work into the Xbox One. It would probably be delayed for years if they tried.

Combining the Oculus Rift with the Razer Hydra controller would be the closest to VR that we can experience in the present.

Initially they seemed to. The first game to ever be playable on Ocular Rift was the Xbox 360 game Doom 3: BFG Edition.
If you bought a 300$ Oculus unit, they shipped it with a copy of the game.
As well, at this point I’m pretty sure Oculus is still only compatible with Xbox 360 controllers.

Or this.

I stand corrected. Combining the Oculus Rift with the Virtuix Omni Treadmill is the closest thing to VR that we can experience in the present. Thanks for the find. I did not realize that they had a working prototype of an omnidirectional treadmill for gaming that did not take up an entire room.
Funny enough I think the idea of a camera that detects your movements is a little bit more comfortable than a giant plastic hat.
But that’s just me.

Lol, i remember that…“old school VR gaming”.
OT: He is right though. Really didn’t work out, and doubt MS will dish out funds just to make that device possible. Then again, we may not have the VR but we have the Kinect.
