I was just wondering how fare this tournament is. There are people who don’t have lives but there are people that have jobs and family, but it is the people that have no lives that will win this tournament racking up scores because they play all the time and know nothing of responsibility. I don’t think that is fair at all.
Performance in your matches doesn’t count. It’s all based on exp and completion of games. So yeah…no life or you get nothing.
if you have a life dont bother seriously trying , just aim for tier 2 or tier 3 prizes, ive stopped playing hoping my score drops into tier 2 and I steal a prize

Sadly this is like on every game. ppl are addicted to there games, and thinking “real life” is just another server. o_o
It’s not that it isn’t fair. And it isn’t that some of the people playing in the tournament just have no lives (some live in Mom’s basement eating Cheetos and drinking Mountain Dew all day). But a lot of the people playing in the tournament actually make a living playing video games. And it is fair, in my opinion, that the best players of the game, should get the best prizes. Think of it like this: In professional sports, the winning team gets the prize, because they are the best. What do the losing teams get? Nothing. They don’t get “participation” trophies (Super-bowl rings aside). They don’t get “You Did The Best You Could” cups. All they get to do is sit there and think about how they weren’t the best, until another season rolls around, and they have either been getting better, or they lose again.
Would it be cool for someone to win a truck for being the “Best of the worst” players in Halo? Sure, I guess it would. I don’t think I’m too bad at the game, but I’m CERTAINLY not the best either. FAR from it. I could use a truck. But it’s just not going to happen.
Just my 2 copper Lincolns
I agree fully on this.
The person playing more than you, and investing more time than you, being ahead in a tournament is “fair.” If the challenge was set up in a way where people that didn’t play much could win, I would say that the people that are investing 12+ hours a day into it would be the ones being treated unfairly. Just because you have a job or a family doesn’t mean you’re entitled to an opportunity to win when other people are investing far more time than you.
And, before you start flaming me, note that I’ve only played like 2 hours since the challenge started. I have had a lot of stuff to do preparing for the holidays and dealing with real life, yet I don’t feel like I’m being scammed or unfairly treated. I don’t deserve to win over the people that have invested a ton of time, and neither do you.
hehe, me too,I creeped into Tier 1 two days ago and it was like, “Nooooooooooooooooo!” The problem though is with Xmas break I dont want to leave the game for a day and find Ive dropped so far back I have to play more than usual.
Ive been trying to calculate what it would take to be in the top 200 of tier 2, but I suck at math.

Life is not fair. Sorry to break it to you.

The part that makes me laugh about those people at the top of the leaderboards with outrageous scores…is that this is only qualifying. All there scores will be reset when the ACTUAL tournament starts, haha.
It’s sponsered by -Yoink!- mobile for a reason. Lmao.
-Yoink!- Tournament, haha. Irony.

Hahahaha I was waiting for this joke!
But seriously who’s gna pick up their date in a Halo Truck?
Plus you can easily make more than enough in a shorter time on your own without a job if you’re resourceful enough.
A nine year old who can’t reach the pedals will end up winning a really nice truck for his mommy and daddy.
How is it unfair? If someone wants to win they can try. This tournament is optional you know.
There are MANY prizes up for grabs. Only the top 224 people in T1 get prizes, this tournament was set up with a multitude of prizes so that everyone can have a shot at winning something.
The “No-Life” players are not going to win all of the prizes, as a matter of fact the tournament was set up so they would win less prizes, and allow for people with less time(who still like to play halo) to win stuff.
224 prizes in T1
403 prizes in T2
641 prizes in T3
Players that do not have as much time can be placed into the other two tiers actually are given more prizes. To get into the “No-Life” tier you only need 29 games. That’s about 5 games a day, or around 45 minutes of play time.
To be at the TOP of tier two you need 28 games and you can win a $400 Halo 4 WARHEAD™ 7.1 Wireless Surround Headset, once again less than an hour a day. To qualify to be in the second tier you need to play 8 games. It might not be a car, or a cameo appearance in an upcoming game, but there are amazing things to be won with very little effort or time involved.

Taken from the -Yoink!- Gaming Rules and Regulations
ELIGIBILITY: Subject to the following restrictions, the Tournament is open to everyone (excluding residents of AZ, CT, MD, TN, VT, QUEBEC AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW) who have reached the age of majority in the jurisdiction in which they reside (19 in AL, 18 in all other U.S. states) (“Age of Majority”) before the start of the Tournament
I have a full time job, wife and three kids so only play a little and stand no chance against some of the obscene amounts of hours that have been played so far.
-Yoink!- tournament… i laughed at this tbh.
The winners of this tourney may very well be virgins.
hence the name -Yoink!- tournament, oh and merry christmas
No I am just saying I signed up for it and wanted to do well. I am in tier 1 again but that i had to do between work, wife and kids. I know life is not fair, but it seems like they would give everyone a equal chance and not just those that have nothing better to do or do nothing but play video games. Oh well but merry ho ho to everyone and happy new year. I was just seeing how everyone else felt about it. The top scoring people have outrages scores though and need a new hobby, job, girlfriend or something.
I can’t even participate in it.
