I’ve been poking around with some of Virgil’s dialogue from Halo 3 :ODST for the last week or so to make/ remake notification sounds for your phone. Way back when ODST was released, Bungie released Virgil’s Inbound and outbound ringtones and that made for a decent little notification ringtone on your phone. But I want more. With a little bit of digging, I took some of Virgil’s dialogue, chopped out some of the background noise, and threw it into my phone along with some guidance from the apps Tasker and Megasound(beta) so that certain events and apps all have different sounds for my “Pocket Virgil” come to life.
I’m still slowly working on other sounds and stitching together some words to make other notifications . Over time i’ll be posting them to this Soundcloud account along with other sound rips in the future for downloads. Cheers.
